Hey guys,

I moved to South Florida recently and am fortunate enough to be right near Autogeek headquarters. I went and checked out DetailFest this year and then this past week went to the Thursday night detailing clinic. I've been doing some reading here and am really happy to have found such a supportive community here as well as having Autogeek and Mike and his crew so close by.

I'm interested in learning to properly detail and maintain my cars and although I'm not looking to turn this into a profession, I am very detail oriented and a bit of a perfectionist. I've cleaned my cars plenty but am new to machine polishing so I have a lot to learn here. I recently picked up a Porter Cable 7424 (not the XP version) from a yard sale and figured I would build off of that. I have nothing else, so I've been reading online and am open to input on a proper hobbyist starter kit to keep things in a reasonable budget but have impressive results.

I own a 03 Subaru WRX that has a full 07 STi swap and I also have a 94 Toyota Supra... I'll post some photos of each below.

Here are a couple pics of when my friends and I were swapping my Subaru:

And a couple others of the Subaru:

And here are a couple photos of the Supra which should hopefully be down here in a month or two:

Hi Bryan,

It was great meeting you again since talking to you at Detail Fest and it was fun having you help buff out the 1968 Firebird.

I really like the Subaru and the Supra is very cool, can't wait till you get the car down here and when you do I'd like to have it at our studio for a show car makeover.

Welcome to Autogeek Online!

Welcome.

Officially jealous of the Supra, probably my favorite car. :props:

Welcome to AutoGeek!!

Glad to see someone else who wrenches in their engine bay. I LOVE those cars! My dream car has always been a 2nd Gen WRX STI. I'm in the process of dropping an 02 VQ35 engine in my 95 Maxima along with a few other goodies ;). When I'm not working on that, I'm helping my brother with his new S14. I swear I've heard of Tristate tuners before....

So if you catch a debadged Maxima rolling around town, just make sure you hit all your shifts. :P

edit: Just noticed your username which you have on your car. I was drooling over your car at DetailFest :dblthumb2:
