Hello to all from the Gulf coast! Just recently got bitten by the detail bug and found this great site. So far I've learned alot in the short time I've been this forum. There is a wealth of information here and I can't wait to learn more!!
 
I was first "Bitten" last June I cant believe it took me 47 years to learn not to wash my car with Dawn Dishwashing Detergent. LOL
Welcome, there is so much good info and so many innovative products. Happy to have you with us.

LOL...i remember washing my moms car when I was a kid. Now wonder the paint on her LTD looked like poop. Products have sure come a long way. Now I just need to scrape my pennies together for a Flex!
 
I know this is a hotly debated subject but I own a Cyclo built in 1953, it is a super machine I would not count it out if you are looking for a stellar buffer that is almost fool proof. Search the forum and consider all your options.

I live in the Corpus area. Living here has taught me how important it is to keep your car as clean as possible and to wax as often as you can. The air here can quickly oxidize a car.
 
Yeah, hate to be you! Haha... Collinite 845IW i think should be your best friend! Couple coats of that stuff and you'll be set for a while... bwtn your maintaince washes follow up with either DG Aquawax or OPT Spray Wax
