Hey everyone, new member here. I spent much of my younger years working at a body shop and have always had a passion for paint correction and detailing. After almost 18 yrs of running my construction business I'm almost at the point where my guys can handle pretty much any job and my free time has rekindled my passion for working up that smooth as glass deep lustrous shine that turns heads! I recently purchased a Flex 3401 and a slew of pinnacle products and have completed my first paint correction in over 15 years! The car (neighbors) has been improperly washed once a week for over a year and had moderate swirls, water spots, and a heavily contaminated paint surface. After about 5.5hrs with my flex, I had attainted a 95% defect free finish and the customer was floored! I charged her $250 and she happily paid in cash. That being said, I've been out of the game for so long that I'm uncertain about how to price. Did I charge too much, not enough, or was my price about right for the work performed? Any help or advice would be much appreciated! Pics of the completed correction below. Unfortunately, I started late in the AM and the sun wasn't cooperating for after pics! Pics were taken with an Iphone.

Nice work and welcome back to detailing! Not sure on pricing, I don't detail for money.

Welcome mate:)

$250.00 sounds about right for a car of this size.
I charge between $250.00-$300.00 for a job as this one so you're good. :dblthumb2:

Well that's good to hear! Thanks for the input!

The main thing on price is was it worth it for you? As long as you feel it is worth it charge what you are worth.

^This.

You mentioned you spent 5.5 hours with your Flex... how long did the entire process take? What were the steps taken throughout the entire process? ie from wheels to wax, what process and products?

Car looks good btw, nice work :)

Thanks! Total time spent was 5.5hrs. Customer wanted to keep it at $250 so I spent most of the time on the paint. Interior received a thorough vacuuming, fabric was spot cleaned, interior plastics were dressed, and glass was cleaned. Wheels were cleaned with diablo. Exterior was washed with dg901, rinsed, clayed with another dg901 wash, rinsed, and then blown dry. Paint was then 3 stepped using a flex 3401, pinnacle swirl removed (ccs yellow pad), pinnacle polish (green pad), and then coated in pinnacle liquid sovereign (gold pad). Tires and exterior black trim dressed last.
