My name is Ken, I recently found this site and have fallen in love as many seem to do here. The atmosphere and information keeps me coming back.

I have been cleaning and "detailing" cars for a while. I am a paint and body guy by trade, and will admit to swirling some cars in my day. I had a buddy show me a car he polished for a friend about 5 years back, and wondered how he got it so perfect without swirls. He showed me his weapon of choice, a dewalt 443 random orbital polisher/sander. I was simply amazed.

Long story short I have been using da sanders and polishers for a while, and I'm really loving the new products and ease of use for them. Things I never thought possible 10 years ago, without a rotary. I was hooked.

5 years later I decide to start my own detailing company, and in my quest for more knowledge stumbled on this site. I'm here and not leaving! Feed back please

:welcome:...from the burbs hand.

Looking forward to future posts and threads.

Was in the District most of yesterday...

Thanks guys, I just moved to DC 5 months ago from STL. My wife is in the military, and we live on Andrews AFB. I have only been catering to military personel for now. I'm amazed at the support military members will give a little guy like me when it comes to my business, and trying to help my family. I have done most jobs by word of mouth, which seems excellent as they keep me busy! haha

I'll try to figure out posting pics of this 2012 corvette I'm working on today. Or link my FB page.

Welcome to the forums pal. My wife is an AirForce vet so I appreciate your families contributions to our great nation.

Let me know if you need anything. I love visiting Andrews any chance I get. Continued success with your business.

Hey from va. The greater mason detailing. You need any help

Well I ended up rescheduling the Corvette to this weekend when the weather will be a bit nicer, +20 degrees! I'll start a new thread with some pics, I haven't seen the car yet, so I'm not sure what I'm up against yet.

I'm also interested in checking out other peoples setups, and meeting new people close to me. Shoot me a message if interested, I'm also willing to share and help where I can.

I'd show you my set-up, but its relegated to a corner in my apartment, no more garage for the next few years. Would be cool to have a Northern Virginia, DC, MD meet soon.

You're always welcome to check out my setup!:xyxthumbs:

Thanks! I love reading through your posts, they have been very informative for me. I'm pretty sure many of your posts have led me to buying new products, my wife will send ya the bill, haha!:dblthumb2:

Thank you, and your Wife. Being a Military spouse isn't always easy. Maybe come by for a Beer sometime?
