how's it going, names Joel. so I've been detailing cars for couple years now. I get a lot of boats from my parents neighborhood. And that's kind of what got me started. I really enjoyed each other in cars and see it as a great way to make some extra money. so this year I'm going to try to start my own side business. I basically have to start from the ground up since I only have about enough supplies to do 2 or 3 cars and the day. and I've always hand waxed. I think I have about $500 to $800 worth of equipment and supplies to buy before I can even start. I figure if I can make 3 * or more what I have invested into it then I'm going to do pretty good pretty year as I don't expect to get rich just want something to keep me busy and make money doing it. I'm going to be working out of a standard cab s10. So what if by sea do you guys have as far as storing my equipment and supplies? as far as marketing my business I'm not too concerned about that because my parents on in online i
Embordery business. so as far as down the road having a website designed and also Marketing possible discounts and promotions we think we have a pretty good handle on that but any advice would be appreciated. my goal is to be up and running by the first of April.

Lol not really competition as I'm only a hobbyist at the moment. I only do my vehicles and some friends and family's on the side for a little extra cash. I wash just thinkin about it though that I don't think there are any mobile guys in the area. There are a couple shops. Only one guy in CB who's a half ass detailer but I don't think anyone mobile.

I'm here in Omaha... but not in business, but may look you up.

Welcome!

Great site here joel...I have learned so much here..

2 or 3 cars detailed in a day is your plan? Did i read that correct??

Whats your secret, I have managed 2 cars in a day but that pretty much wore me out
Most of my details take about 6-7 hrs per car..depending on conditon

I have help when its needed to finish a job and only one of three people I trust to help me but most of the time I'm by myself. I'm not even in business yet and I have that kind of work mentally. I was raised to assume if you can't finish a job same day your loosing money and it might not be there to finish tomorrow. I'm just getting in to full polishing so thats how I'm getting 2 to 3 cars a day. I've only ever gotten one boat done in a day.
My company name will most likely be JPK Detailing so look for that if you try to look me up but like I said I'm probably not going to be advertising till April. I have a set neighborhood I'm expecting to get most of my business from to get my name out there.
I've never taken pics of any of my work with the phone I have now but I'll try to find some old one or take new ones as soon as the weather clears up. (It supposed to snow a foot tomorrow.) So you guys can see some of my work.
