Hi, I'm Bob and I'm new here. I own a salvage business and am looking to get into detailing as a side line. I certainly have access to vehicles in all states of life to practice on. I will be spending lot's of time here reading before I buy anything. I already have a Mcculach steaner wich is OK for panels and such.

From one Bob to another; :welcome: To Autogeek Online!

If there's a one stop shop for all your detailing questions and needs, Autogeek it the place to be. :props:

Welcome Bob! If I had a salvage yard at my disposal I'd have all sorts of ongoing experiments going on! Sorry to hijack your introduction thread but I have to ask....Are there many Chevy Astro/GMC Safaris in salvage yards nowadays?

Dave,

No Hijacking, you're actually giving Bob the idea that there could be plenty of practice panels where he works! Having a dozen or so hoods available to learn and practice on is ideal....:dblthumb2:

The hacking part was the question about the Astro/Safari vans.:props:

Welcome. Definitely be nice to have such a wide range of panels to work on! You'll be a pro in no time.

Which reminds me I need to talk to my friend who is the GM at a local auction place. They get wrecked cars in there all the time. So there has to be some panels laying around.
