Hi I am new here and new to detailing. I have a 2003 Lincoln LS. I love this car. I know it isn't a vette or something like that but it is the nicest car I have ever had. When I bought it 2 years ago the previous (and only other owner) had it detailed before I bought it. It was beautiful (and still is really). Well I lived on a ranch for a year and I couldn't keep it clean living at the end of a dirt driveway. Anyway now we live in a regular neighborhood.

My kids (teenagers) are starting a detailing business to earn money for scout camp and a highschool band trip to Disney land. I bought a bunch of stuff and we first detailed my car. I love the way it looks now. But, I want more. I want it to look the absolute best it can. We are having a difficult time with windows. The paint and came out looking very nice. In the paint thought I noticed there are little chips (probably from rocks) I have no idea how to deal with those. There is also a bunch of scuff marks on the back bumper, I don't know what to do with those either.

Any way I know this isn't the place for questions so this is really just an introduction to me and my car.

Thanks,

Bryan

Welcome to the forum . There is a ton of information and pics here. Enjoy

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Looks like I have a ton of reading to do. :D

Welcome. I think its great your kids are using detailing as a means to fund their activities.

Biggest thing to remember about cleaning the windows is to "box-in" and flip the (folded) towel to buff dry and remember to crack the window to get the very top.

Thanks Troy I will keep that in mind. I think the kids are going to learn a lot from this experience.

Thanks Mike. I have started reading your articles. There great thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have never clayed a car before but I think I want to try it on my LS and see how it much it can improve my finish.
