New, just moved to Los Angeles

Hi All!

My name is Drew, I'm a long time lurker here, and I'm a mechanical engineer that recently relocated to Los Angeles from the east coast. I have a black 2008 Nissan 350z that has been the subject of much of my detailing learning and experimentation. She recently underwent a full 3-stage paint correction which was quickly erased by the cross-country drive and the local LA "hand" washes.

Currently, I do not have access to my own wash/detailing facilities. If there are any friendly LA residents (particularly Westside or Sherman Oaks/SF Valley area) that wouldn't mind letting me use their driveway on a ~weekly basis for regular washes and occasional full details I would happily supply beer/compensation/detailing products and would love to chat all things cars/detailing.

Anyway it's nice to finally be a contributing member of the forums, thanks for the great community!

I dont know the location as being close to you or not but you need to find Detailing ART, look him up on fb and talk to him. He is a great guy and getting very well recognized in the area. You know you can also visit the Meguiars home office for detail days / nights that they do very frequently and you will meet Mike Stoops.
 
Welcome! And yes I am always glad and willing to help as best as I can.

I believe SF is San Fernando, however, I am in the San Gabriel Valley area.
