Hello all!
I got on AGO about a month ago, but in a haste to get thoughts on a topic skipped the introduction.
As all of you, I have a passion for detailing vehicles, boats, RV's and even ATV/UTV's. My professional detailing experience comes from working in a high volume, quick detail shop 15+ years ago. I've since learned that what I thought of as detailing back then wasn't really detailing, it is what I would now call "appearance enhancement". Most of you know (and probably compete with) the type "Soak it, buff it, spray the crap out of it with greasy stuff and send it on it's way".
Since then I have stuck to my own vehicles along with family and close friends. I often consider doing some "on the side" work out of my own house, but haven't taken that plunge yet.
As I've become more concerned about protecting/maintaining in addition to appearance, I've found most of what I thought I knew/know about products, equipment and technique is outdated at best, and I could learn a lot from many of you, and perhaps share a thought or two of my own along the way.
I've looked through this forum in the past without ever participating, and I am constantly blown away by the amount of help so many on here are willing to share. I look forward to interacting with you all!
Oh yeah I'm a Meguiars fan, but recently venturing out haha.
