Hum, 7 pages and not one review...yet? Just my opinion, but I'll skip these products, I can see where the guy with the trailer queen show car would be interested but price wise it's not cost effective for someone detailing for $$ After trying several of the boutique brands vs the commercial detailers brands - I've learned: they both work, but one will leave you more money in your pocket.

To be honnest i would rather see more compounds and polish lines, hi-temp, presta, carbrite, automagic ect ect.
 
Im more of a paint correction type of detailer, i could care less about waxes, sealants, dressings, cleaners and carwashes. But im just one guy out of many 1000's.
 
I am also more interested in polishes...from any comp ..that are good....polishing is the foundation to the better finished look.....the better you correct the paint the nicer the look of a LSP.....I have seen pictures of great correction and final polishing with Turtle wax on it and it was very good looking....

The better you get your polished look the better the LSP has to enhance that look....

Car wash starts at $3.99, I think it is price effective, just my $.02 :confused:
 
Seems reasonable. The reviews I've seen show SC to be a promising product line.

Yep, Ive had great results even with OTC Mothers products
 
Well, it's getting late and I didn't check and compare every item but: that car wash at $3.99 for 8 oz , I buy a gallon of car wash for 10 bucks, wheel cleaner, $12.99 for 22 oz, I buy mine for $11.95 a gallon, and tire shine at $5.99 for 8 oz, I get for $11.95 a gallon. OK, I think I've proven my point.

Dont get me wrong, I like saving money and I do get gallons all the time. But comparing a professional line to a boutique line is very different. In line with your comparison, even OTC items are $$$

Surf City's prices are pretty reasonable IMO.
 
"comparing a professional line to a boutique line is very different" - like how? other than price per ounce, they both get results, I have tried a bunch of "boutique" and have yet to find one that is cost effective although they work - maybe not as fast - looking at compounds. Personally, if you do the right prep on the paint, any off the shelf wax will look just as good as some fancy on-line miracle that costs as much as dinner out at a up-scale steak house. I get carnuba wax for 35 bucks a gallon. Call me cheap, I call it saving for the kids college funds.
