Hey my name is Dan and I'm from just outside of Vancouver, BC. mLooking to learn some more about detailing and get my truck looking good for the summer coming up! I've always been into trucks and always detailed them and cleaned them as soon as I buy them (seats out, dash and panels off sort of cleaning) and kept them maintained. Previous trucks have always been "project trucks" that I brought and sold to make money on the side and never intending on keeping so cleaned them to use them temporarily and detailed to help sell them.

In the last year things have changed though and I've brought a 2003 Chevy Silverado with the dark charcoal paint and put quite a bit of money into modifying it to what I've always wanted. The goal for this summer is to remove all swirls in y paint, learn how to properly polish and wax it and give it that wet look and get some nice water beading going on! Very interested in getting some specialty products and trying out different methods of washing, polishing and waxing.

I've also got a 75' Chevy C10 with a custom paint job getting done before the start of the summer so looking to protect that and am finishing up a 39' Plymouth P8 with my dad with fresh paint that will need attention in the next couple months.

I have a feeling that this forum will help me with everything I'm looking to do so thank you in advance for all the help and advice!

Hey hey, I knew there had to be more than one of us from the West Coast on here haha It isn't exactly detailing weather lately is it?

An underground garage is both a blessing and a curse. Blessing is all I need is about 10c out, curse is I have only one plug within reach. Either a 2 x 500 watt Halogen light or my Porter Cable 7424 xp, or I blow the circuit.

Hi Dan,

Welcome to Autogeek Online!

I love the classics trucks, in fact I have a 1975 Jimmy. I almost bought a 1937 Plymouth couple as a kid and instead bought a 1948 Plymouth Coupe,, they're all good.

You'll find lots of good info on the forum and helpful people... now how about a pic or to of the Chevy Truck and the Plymouth P8

:welcome:
