Hi I'm new to the auto detailing world and I'm pretty ocd about keeping my truck clean! I use mostly Meguiar's products, a couple of Chemical Guys products, and Collonite 845.
I'm looking for a polish that is not too aggressive to eliminate some fine swirl marks on my truck, any recomendations?

This is my baby, 2014 Ford FX2 Tremor

Welcome to AutoGeekOnline!

Do you have any polishes on hand at the moment?

I do not, but I can get a hold of Meguiar's Ultimate Polish pretty easily. I have found that it is pretty hard to remove though. I'll be doing eeverything by hand as I don't have a machine :/

If you are doing this by hand and sourcing locally, I would suggest something like Meguiar's Black Wax. This has mild polishing agents in it giving you the ability to polish and wax in one step. Meguiars Black Wax, black wax for cars

In the mean time, save up for a machine and pads. It will drastically cut down on time and you will achieve better results. You can thank me later.

Thanks I'll give this a try!

Would this also work to eliminate deep swirl marks on a dark blue '11 Ford Mustang or should I use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound first?

Not a chance. Now you are getting ahead of yourself.

If you want to compound out the Mustang by hand you can however it will be very taxing on your arm and will take a lot longer to accomplish by hand.

If you are on a very tight budget, pick up a DA from Harbor freight but buy quality pads and plate from AG.

I washed and waxed her today using the two bucket method with grit guards, using Meg's Gold Class wash, then used Meg's Black Wax to clean and polish as it was recommended by a fellow forum member. Then I topped every exterior part of the truck including glass and rims with Collonite 845 for that extra protection ;)

I lowered my truck again and washed using:
Meguiar's Gold Class soap
Meguiar's Ultimate Detailer
Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax

It had already been waxed the previous week with chemical guys butter wet wax but I wanted to try something new:
