A few weeks ago I decided that it was time to detail my 2008 Toyota Tundra. Originally, I went to O'Reillys and bought Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo, a Mothers Claybar kit, and Mothers Carnauba Wax along with some microfiber towels and what not. It was after buying the products that I decided to look through the detailing sections of a couple of the Tundra forums I go to (Tundratalk, TundraGeeks). I realized that if I really want my truck to shine I should invest in quality products. So I returned most of the products I bought except for the Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo and Mothers Claybar kit.
I was still kind of lost when it came to polishes, waxes, and the step-by-step process of using them so thought that I should PM one of the detailing gurus on TundraTalk- Jumbo Jet. I told him the condition of my paint, that I was going to be doing everything by hand and he recommended Klasse AIO. I ended up buying the Klasse Kit with some 303 aerospace protectant, carpet and upholstery cleaner, and microfiber towels that same day.
That was a mistake, because the next day I kept browsing the site and found more things, that I wanted to buy and ended up making another order and paying shipping twice.
Now I've been browsing every inch of the store looking at all of the different products and how to use them correctly. At this rate I plan on buying a Dual Action Polisher and Pressure Washer Foam Cannon.
Only thing I need to do now is actually detail the truck but there has been a lot of rain lately and I don't want to detail it just for it to rain the next day so I'm trying to wait out a bit.
