Signed up a while ago and have been reading and learning in my free time. Decided I should speak up and say hello. My name is Pace. I've been interested in detailing since I got my '99 Camaro 7 years ago, but am just now stepping up to some more proper techniques other than 2-bucket wash, clay bar, and hand wax. I just got my first polisher, a PC 7424XP as an early Christmas present (although it looks like I should've waited a week, doh!).

I'm an undergrad student at University of Arkansas that's crazy enough to be working toward a double bachelors in both Psychology and Sociology. Fortunately cleaning up my cars kind of helps to keep me sane between studies. I'm hoping that with the knowledge I'm learning from this site and some practice I can become proficient with the polisher on both single stage and clear coat paints. Along with my Camaro, I have also acquired an '86 Nissan 300ZX Turbo and '90 Audi Coupe Quattro... both of which are red and in need of some paint correction. So I've got a good pallet to practice on.

Anyway, I hope everyone's enjoying the holidays. I'm looking forward to reading up on some more tips and techniques.

:buffing:

Oh, and a couple pics of the cars. Sorry for the low quality, my camera died earlier this year and I haven't gotten a new one yet.

Hello and welcome to Autogeek!! :) As a fellow student I can say that detailing cars does indeed help keep me sane while studying for finals soon.
