Greetings - ( that was the first words uttered by Jeff Bridges in Starman just before he melted a guys lug wrench ) no, I am not going to melt anything, but I do know that my heart skips a beat every time I see a car with an incredible shine, and thats why I am here, to learn and perfect my skills toward achieving the "wow" factor of detailing.

I have always been one to take care of my things, especially those mechanical things. From my pedal cars to my collection of matchbox cars, they all got cleaned and polished to look like new. As I grew older, so to did my toys. No matter that the car was not the latest muscle car, I took care of it like it was a million dollar ride. Every Friday after school I could be seen running home to get as much driveway time prepping my cars for cruising. While not always the fastest, they were arguably the cleanest. Everyone knows me for my clean cars. The best compliment I ever got was when I was pumping gas and the guy at the next pump asked how I liked my new car? His face dropped when I told him that it was 4 years old.

So after many years at a career that merely paid the bills, I am pursuing what I believe I should have been doing all along. They say your never to old or it is never to late to change.

I already see this forum as a valuable resource for info and tips to help me along in my quest toward a fulfilling career. Likewise, I will share the knowledge and experience I have with others and look forward to hanging out with others who share in that same pursuit of the perfect finish.

Yea, the irony about that movie is that I used to own a '77 mustang with a V8. Though it was the MACH 1 variant, it was cool to see a car like mine in a movie.
