I found this site 3 or so years ago when I purchased my truck. I read thought most of the how to's then. My truck was originally white, and was pretty rough shape. Heavy scratches, and dents everywhere. When I removed the chrome trim from my wheel wells, I found rust starting to form. At the time i was in high school and was in Automotive Refinishing. I ended up having to replace the passenger door, both fenders due to rust(pretty common on these trucks). I am very meticulous with everything I do.
I finished the truck just about a year ago. I used Lesonal Base, and Lesonal Universal Clear. The colors I chose were Atomic Orange and Cyber Grey Metallic.

After

The paint is in pretty decent condition, has a little bit of marring now. I think there is a lot of room for improvement. So I ordered a Porter Cable package w/ LC ccs pads (orange, pink, white, grey and red). Decent choice as far as my pad selection? I'm still unsure about wet sanding my truck.
I have limited experience with the DA polisher. I have learned quite a bit just from browsing the forum/watching Mike's videos. I know i'll have a lot more questions in the future. I definitely appreciate all the info you guys have here.
