Hi everyone,

I’m new to the site and wow there’s a lot of good info here.

After 5 years and a long honey do list of home improvements, I finally got the all the junk cleared out of my garage 4 months ago….whew… where I can park 2 of our 3 cars and don’t miss scraping ice and freeze my b### of while working/detailing on the cars (both 2006 Honda sedans, & 2003 Ram 1500 truck).

So I got a Flex DA, with every CCS pad available a couple of months ago. And decided to go with the Wolfgang product line. While I’m happy with the results using the WG total swirl remover, WG Finishing Glaze, and WG Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. I’m just not satisfied with the shine of my silver paint and just wondering if should be using a different brand for Honda type paints. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

welcome! Silver is not the most flattering color when it comes to reflections and such but you should be able to gloss it up and have it wet looking.

I'll let the more seasoned pros chime in with their dozens of suggestions...LOL

Appreciate the response. I like to buy in bulk and save some what I can in $$ and wanted to ensure Im getting correct and best product available.

As for the gloss on silver, it is harder, but can be done to a certain degree. It all comes down to your polishing process. 90% of the final finish is dependent on how well you preped the finish. :buffing:

:whs:Prep is key. Are you looking for a crisp look? Like the DGPS your using. Or a wet warm glow? Post your question down in the "auto detailing forum" so people can see it, and answer your questions.

i'd say look into Duragloss products as far as cleaning/ sealing the paint. If you want to remove swirls and such that is a different ballgame.

If you want a good boutique type wax for silver perhaps liquid souveran would be a good choice.

For a daily driver washed, clayed, polished and prepped right though, for the money, a combination of hand applied duragloss is a very practical and rewarding choice.
