Hello dear all!
I'm alibabon
I come from Vietnam
I love this forum ...
I need some advice for products to use for my country.
- My country climate is hot and humid and musty ... it makes the car easy to be scratched on the paint and detailed exterior faded plastic very soon ...
- Thanks for all the advice from you ...

Hi Chris from pa, let me start off by saying thank you for this forum
I am not much of a reader but this forum has me stuck love it.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Alfred from IL. I am new to Autogeek.net and to the forum. It is really cool to find a place where there are a bunch of "car guys" and "car girls" that share a common interest to make their cars and cars of others look good as both a hobby and a profession. I am looking to do the latter of the two since I already enjoy a nice clean car and often find myself checking my paint's reflection in the mirror in my '02 Mustang GT as I motor the expressways after a fresh wash. I am in the beginning stages of my plan to start a mobile car wash and detail business. My plan is to go at the mobile wash and detail business full time in the first quarter of 2015. So for now, I am just hanging out on the sidelines, writing my business plan, and learning as much as I can while stacking up my supplies piece by piece so that I can start the business off with no business debt. The last thing means that I am also working a lot of overtime on my current job. So if my sentences ever seem to be broken up or incoherent, I haven't been drinking. It's just the side effects of going to school full time, working full time, being a husband, and father of a busy 2 1/2 year old. I'm looking to make a better life my family and myself.

I'm open to learning new tricks and tips become as efficient as possible which means you'll never hear me knocking any strategies you share. Please feel free to help a new guy. Thanks in advance for the help and feedback.

Best regards,

Alfred aka Silverhorse84

Hi, I'm Alex, I live in Mexico City, I'm a System Engineer. I had been reading tips from this forum since March of 2008, that's when I bought my DA Porter Cable 7424.

I'm glad to be a member of this forum and I will try to help anyone and hope you can help me.

Thanks

Re: New Member Mike from Long Island

Hi everyone, I'm Mike from Long Island and I love cars and hate swirl marks! Currently using member C.A.D. to keep my daily driver in top shape with Cquartz and many layers of Reload. But I have enough products to open a high end pep boy. I love trying new products on my truck and using on my car if I like them.

Hey all, I'm Adam from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada and I'm with this guy /\ I HATE swirl marks! I've been washing/polishing/waxing my own cars by hand for years and now it's time to get a little smarter and use something electric as I'm not getting any younger here :p

I now have a decent arsenal of products. I just need to get a polisher and then have at it. My goal is to get good at using a DA and then maybe detailing cars as a small side job. We'll see what happens :)

Here is my test subject. There is no better way to learn than on some crappy Mitsubishi paint! :p

Just found this forum and I have learned so much in the past 2 weeks.

Before AG all I knew about Detailing was dawn dish soap, an old sponge, and a can of turtle wax.

Tons of great info and the write ups from Mike Phillips are amazing.

Hi everyone! My name is Josh, and I have been lurking on the AGO forums for awhile trying to learn as much as possible. Everyone on here has a lot of great information and experience!

I have been detailing my vehicles ever since I got my driver's permit (12 years ago), and I am looking to step up to new techniques and possibly a new career. I am currently an automotive quality engineer, but I am really interested in starting my own business in detailing. I hope to be able to pursue a career in which my hard work can pay off and make others smile :)

I currently own 2 Subarus, so I have some experience detailing high quality factory paint  I hope to continue to learn from you all, and hopefully share some of my own experience as well. Thank you!

Posted this some other place, and wanted to deleted this one, but I see I can't. Sorry about that.

Firs I would like to thanks for having me here. I've been reading this forum for over a month, and I used the iPhone app Tapatalk, registered there and thought that I'll be automaticly added to forums I choose, until yesterday I tried to post a question and realize that it's not working like that :)My name is Roy, I live in Hallandale, it's between Maiami and Fort Lauderdale, live across the street from ocean:) I used to work with boats, my main job was cleaning bottoms underwater, and I did some detailing as well for boats , that's why after boat detailing, car detailing looks for me a lot easier, because there is a lot of surface to cover under hot sun, a lot of corners and the boat sides!!! Imagine hanging yourself head down for hours,It's a hell of a job, I loved the diving better:) And 5 years back there was no available such powerful and advanced waxes, and products. Right now my head spins from the huge variety of things for detailing. I love to take care of my car myself, and I thought that I know how to do it:) About a month ago I bought brand new Genesis 2015 Ultimate, with marble white pearl tricoat paint, and I just want to keep it like its brand new all the times. I already bouth a lot of product from Autogeek.net , huge towel collection, and Pinnacle Black Label kits for coatings ,and for interior as well. This brand is awesome!!! Windshields was my biggest problem, but after I was introduced with waffle towels and proper cleaners and clay and cleanser and polishing, it's completely different now:))

Thank you all for giving advices I was able to take care of my car at completely different level. Next in my list is dual motion polisher.

The two things I have issues is , I can't decide what's better, regular hand wash , or the foam spray? The Pinnacle black label shampoo is awesome, even after a wash, the car looks like it's been detailed. Also got that Pinnacle Natural Brilliance shampoo, but can't decide about the foam wash.

Another issue is that I live close to ocean humid and sandy wind is blowing all over my car.

So it's sticks to windows and everywhere. I used to cover my windshield with RainX,but after I did the coating, I don't like it anymore. Also I used the RainX windshield washer, and last time I bought the RainX washer addesive, it's giving me now those spots all over my car and windshield, they just dry out and stick as grey little dots everywhere. I found that windshield washer concentrate called 1Z Einszett windshield washer concentrate, I think it would be much better than RainX, but also the Pinnacle Glasswork booster looks good to me. What would happen if I use the Einszett concentrate to make washer fluid and add the Pinnacle Glasswork booster? Or it would be too much?

Hey, all

I'm Anthony, I'm from Syracuse, NY. I've got an '08 Speed3 which I spend too much time and money on. I've been detailing since I was probably 17-18. I'm on probably 20 other forums, moderate a few.

I'm also a photographer.

I've been testing out a lot of new products lately. Looking for something to make this color pop, which is honestly easier said than done.
