New Member Information

Hello all, James here in the 808 state (Hawaii). Registered to the forum to learn more about detailing and what works for everyone. I recently damaged the rear fender of my 2016 Toyota Tundra Crewmax, but once it's repaired, I plan on coating it with Nanoskin's Mega Trend which I already purchased. Any pointers will be appreciated!

Hello all, new to the forum but been lurking a while.

Detailing has always been a passion of mine, looking to hopefully make a career change out of it... moved from Oregon to the Big Island of Hawaii (long story) so starting fresh was the option.

Was able to bring some of my tools over from home (griots da, thankfully!) but now working on rebuilding my arsenal of product... have a laundry list of items in my AG cart, trying to finalize items before pulling the trigger. Always been a fan of Meguiars, then found Griots, and now getting sold on Blackfire items.

Anyways, still gonna be lurking, probably ask questions any detailing business startup advice will never be ignored!!

Here's my current toy that I love making shiney!

Cheers and Mahalo!

Hello, Ive had a username here forever but want to become more active. Names Joe.

I drive Uber and do construction, I currently drive a Hyundai Kona which i would happily use as target practice for a howitzer.

Its a fleet rental, and i am shopping a 2022 toyota camry hybrid le in midnight black metallic. I want to do that one right and get it fully detailed upon receiving it.

Its kind of crazy that in my area, for the price of a soup to nuts detailing including multistage correction and coating, you can almost buy the stuff and do it yourself. So i figured buy it, do it myself. and went to the february detailing academy at autogeek. That taught me there are more questions that i need to ask, this is a non stop learning process.

I hope to make detailing a side hobby that pays for itself and grows my tool shed at the same time, if it can be a legitimate side income that would be awesome. I love driving and love a clean car, and look forward to having a new one i can treat right from jump street as i attempt the impossible, keeping a shiny black car looking perfect while driving high mileage in the DC area.
