Hi all. I guess I wouldn't say new member as I have been doing tons of reading here on the forums!
It amazing the talent on the board.
Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for sharing thier knowledge.
This weekend I just built up my first detailing cart.
I based the design off some carts I saw here.

Used a Harbor Freight small cart and upgraded the casters to all swivel locking. Took forever to find a drawer unit to fit! I even PMd bOb here to find out where he got his (thanks for the quick response). Unfortunately, it looks like they discontinued that model. Regardless Lowes has a new line of Bella plastic drawers that worked. Add some wood and screws and here's where I am at:

Just did a check fit on products.
Now to disassemble, sand, and finish.

I think a cart similar to this would be good for my gear, save for the fact that I would not want to take the whole car outside, to use a couple of products

Even though you been here for awhile still welcome to autogeek, and nice homemade detailing cart

Well just finished her up with some extra stuff I had.

Sweet! Love what you did with the back end of the cart.

That's awesome! I have an unfinished version I'm going to work on today since I stumbled across this thread!

Not to hi-jack the thread, but I wanted to help with a suggestion if you are into that sort of thing.

One of the best mods that I've ever added to my cart was a cheap-o HF extension cord reel. I got two C Clamps (temporary fix; I thought. Haven't found a better solution.) and attached it to the side of the cart. I got an old "yard stake" that has covers for electrical outlets, and now I plug the extension cord into the garage, wheel the cart out, and the "yard stake" is what I plug the shop vac, PW, polishers, etc into.

I'll see if I can find some pictures, just thinking out loud since you sparked my creativity maybe I can help return the favor!

Yeah, I'd like to see that.:xyxthumbs:
Here soon I hope to get past the weather and use this thing!

Good taste in baseball teams, btw.
