We've been hard at work expanding our selection of professional-grade detailing tools and this week was no exception with the addition of several new Mytee products!

Here is a little history on Mytee, one of the most respected names in the professional detailing industry.

Mytee Products, Inc. is the oldest carpet cleaning machine company in the industry today. The company has roots dating back to 1977 but the Mytee brand itself started in 1994 with the advent of a portable water heater product. Carpet cleaners were added to the lineup in 1995, and in 2000, Mytee aquired the Hild Floor Machine Company. Hild was founded in 1927 and was the innovator of on-site carpet cleaning. With water heating and portable carpet cleaning technology, Mytee quickly rose to the top of the hot water extractor industry. Today Mytee remains family owned and operated. Their goal is still to offer the best carpet cleaning machines for the best price possible.

An affordable steamer and hot water extractor!! Im the MAN

Thanks Nick!! :props:

That stuff looks really interesting, especially that Tempo as an upgrade from a LGCM. I wish you folks would provide the power requirements for this type of equipment, though (that goes for stuff like the Master Blaster, as well). You really need to state whether these will run on a 15A circuit, or whether they require a 20A or 30A, and or whether on a 15A you can't run the heater and the vac at the same time, for example (or in the case of the Master Blaster, that you need to start the fans individually on a 15A circuit).

EDIT: I see the specs you list on the product page are the same that Mytee lists (they don't give the info either), but digging I found, for example, that the Tempo owner's manual states this: "...it draws about 9 amps (115v). To run effectively, use a dedicated 15-amp outlet." And the Spyder manual suggests a 20-amp outlet.

Nice digging Setec, some of my first thoughts too. I was about to buy an Aztec extractor after inc.tax return but I need to look at both of these as steamers seem to have their merit on the job too. I have to look at how much lift the new extractor has.

I watched the Tempo vid at the Mytee site...and that says 11 amps :dunno:

I hope I didn't seem negative, it's just when you start pairing big vacs with pumps and heaters the amps add up fast, and so do the popped breakers. Just seems like the right thing to do to list the power requirements.

Great suggestion. We'll have the amps added to the product description shortly.

You can buy both for the price I paid for my Dupray. The only difference is the warranty on the machines.

I don't mean to steal the thread but I do not even know how to start a new thread lol can anyone pm me to walk me through it???

I've had my mytee lite for a while now and really like the way the product performs. While it does a good job, the warrantee sucks and I've had tons of problems with it. Called the company and basically nothing. I had to come out of pocket for some parts that needed to be fixed because the company doesn't warrantee certain things on the machine! I would seriously consider another brand before I purchase another mytee. I just had to fix it again last month. Down time on a machine that cost $900 several times within a year is unacceptable! No new mytee for me!

What parts did you have to replace that were not under warranty ?

Bob :)

I actually have an article on that including screenshots to show you how....

How to start a new thread & How to reply to an existing thread

We ALL had to learn how to interact on discussion forums when we first started out. There's also a number of other articles I've written on how to interact on a discussion forum in my article list.

Having the right extractor makes all the difference in a quality detail. Thanks Mytee!

I've replaced switches and had to have a company come out and fix a vacuum problem. I believe their warranty is 90days. Really? 90days. Luckily the repair man comes to my town once a week just to fix mytees at local shops, instead of me driving an hour to a mytee repair shop.
