New??? Or Rehashed???

funny all the ads were changed again this morning. No more Pinnacle Souveran in ad, not by pic (originally next to Klasse AIO) nor in the text itself. Something very interesting is afoot ....

last night /// last week (gone as of 6am this morning)
1. Pics of Klasse AIO / Souveran side by side
2. Pic of Souveran alone (below Viper) above the dual shot of both products

Text on Souveran (removal mid morning - reposted below)
1. Comparisons
This is not a replacement for Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax nor is it "better" than Souveran. The advantage of BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond, Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax is that it can be used as a topping over any polymer sealant to add depth and liquidity without fear of hazing, streaking or cloudy patches

Very very interesting.....................

still no update from Jason or Max ... cannot see why the ads are consistently changing ??

Did the two forum members who supposedly have kits in hand try it, and pics next to Souveran ?? Ads still say its not available which is wierd also ??

The weather is just clearing off so I may be able to do a side by side test on the MINI hood. I wasn't supposed to rain today!

OK. I dusted off the new MINI's hood and applied both waxes. I have been using FMJ/HGAS lately on the metallic black. The BF marketing boasts that the polymers in wet diamond wax would adhere to a polymer sealant like fmj.
I posted quite a few in my Gallery if you want to compare for yourself.

I can't see any difference. The wet diamond applied a little thinner and was removed with a little less effort but I am just splitting hairs here. The souveran has the upper hand in the fragrance department.

I will try to avoid QDs on the hood for a while to see how they compare as the weeks go by. This car is getting at least 3 hand washes a month with PB SS&S.

The gallery pics show which side has which wax.

Looks very nice! I cannot wait to see pics after washes..

What sealant was used under Souveran?

-Nick

FMJ with HGAS after every wash on the whole car.

can we get a pick of them both side by side, with the lids open ?? Whats the difference in smell ?? This morning the advertisement stayed the same, which is funny, considering it changed so much over the weekend.

For now our official comment is "no comment".

I would still like to see a pic side by side of the two opened containers. One seems very bright the other seems more natural.

Just got home and took the pics as requested.
The wet diamond is slightly whiter/less yellow than the souveran. Souveran has that strong tropical scent while the wet diamond has a very faint scent not too different from souveran, just much less intense.
Both are packaged with an O-ring to seal the lid tightly.
The souveran is an 8 oz jar while the wet diamond contains 7 oz. I think the jars are the same cost but the the souveran is cheaper per oz.

thanks for the pics ... nice .

The O-ring is used to keep moisture out of the canister. This is why Pinnacle products last so long, no water inside and keep the moisture out.

I do wonder why the "other" does not have the slightly collapsed center. That is indicitive of the pouring from hand batched kettles. Maybe the other is mass produced likely other waxes.

Intresting, never thought about that, was wondering why when my friend used Souv and gave me some that it had looked a little like a "V" when new. I just figured it was the way he was using the pad to get product on except he hadn't used it yet. My other waxes are flatops lol.

Me too... :o I don't think I could possible purchase another thing. I have recently cut back on hours, as I am working on my last semester in school. My b-day comes up in early April, but we'll see. I want to try CG505 and XXX sooo bad! Plus I am picking up some Souveran and other goodies at the DF in Feb.

Decisions, decisions..

Welcome! It's much easier to apply a paste wax by hand, and remove with a PC.

I actually think, visually, the wax shines better with the use of a MF bonnet on the PC. I would still recommend using paste waxes by hand, and removing with a PC. Just my opinion.. :awesome:
