I know this is pretty new, but thoughts on using this for rinseless?.

No real concerns, just wanted to ensure it was suited for rinseless

It will work.

When doing a rinseless wash there's a couple of goals,

1: Get the car clean without using a normal car wash approach meaning using a water hose with running water.

2: In most cases, avoid scratching the paint.

When it comes to reaching the 2nd goal, my opinion and experience is that using multiple microfiber towels where you use a towel to wipe a panel and then set it aside in your dirty towel pile and move onto a fresh clean towel for the next panel and so on and so on.

The idea being to avoid cross-contamination which could increase the risk of instilling swirls and scratches.

Make sense?

I've seen these new towels floating around the warehouse and various offices but haven't used one myself.

From the looks of them, they look like a good choice for washing a car with paint in perfect condition as they look like they are soft and gentle and that's what you want for cars that you've already detailed or are already in perfect condition.

I'll take a look at them today because I think the one I picked up and felt has a fleece like fiber and if this is true then you need to purchase a Pet Brush and after use, (after washing and drying), you'll want to brush it out just like a long haired dog to prevent the fibers from matting together.

I'm pretty sure I cover this in my how-to book,

The Complete Guide to a Show Car Shine

:)

I have the one that Adam's sells, looks exactly like the one here except it's red. I'm not a fan of it. It's kinda stiff and doesn't seem to hold a lot of suds. For rinseless washes go with the OPT big red sponge.

this looks similiar to the microfiber madness mitt which costs twice ($24.99) as much...

why not use this microfiber mitt instead...

I wonder if he's talking about these new towels.

I like using the rinseless wash mitts that Vistor posted.

Is the mitt similar in feel and quality to the Gyeon Smoothie mitt? I still haven't bought the darn thing so it would be cool if this orange one works as well.

It's similar... But not quite as hearty. This ones a bit thinner.
Think of this one like a Mcdouble.
The more expensive 1's like a quarter pounder. Lol.

Let us know!!

Ok I did a rinseless wash earlier.. Kind of a weird test subject as both my hood and trunk have been running with no protection for about 2 weeks now so the paint isn't exactly ideally as slick as it should be.. But all the more reason to have used those 2 mitts for each side of the hood [and another for the trunk]

I'm not extraordinarily careful when I do a rinseless wash, just basically grabbed a sopping wet mitt from my rinseless bucket and took it straight to the paint doing long passes from front to back, then turn mitt and go over it once more to make sure I got it all clean.

Dried with a green Cobra Waffle Weave.

Orange mitt felt adequate, Blue mitt felt superior because it's fatter with suds and somehow glides over the paint even better.

My car had a thick layer of dust on it.. Did I cause swirls? Ehh a little bit on the Orange mitt side... But I could be psyching myself out and don't really care because I need to go over the hood once again with some polish before I lay some protection on it once I get around to it.

Orange mitt works ok for rinseless. Blue mitt works phenomenal.
