Hi guys,
My name is Jay and I'm from far southeastern SC, actually an island. I have been reading with interest many posts here and I'm VERY happy to see there are still perfectionists in this world! I am also happy to see that ya'll seem to get along famously. I have yet to see a flame post. People helping people is what this country should be all about. ANY country for that matter.
I am a contractor and have had lots of experience refinishing wood, especially decks and all kinds of exterior surfaces and substrates, but I am a relative novice with vehicles. Wash and wax is about all I've done. It seems there is just a little more to it than that and I've come to the right place to learn.
I think I'm an old guy here but age doesn't seem to matter. One thing I have noticed is that spelling and grammer are much better here than many other forums and blogs on the internet. I guess that's part of the perfectionist persona. In any event it's great to read posts that look like they were written by intelligent and interesting people rather than ten year olds. I'd like to have a beer with all of you!
I have some questions but I'll try to address them to the appropriate areas.
Thanks to all posters and AG for what I've learned already just reading your great posts and visiting other very well done areas of this site.
