I just recently got myself a 5 liter jug of Sonax Full Effect and a 16 oz. bottle of CG Glozzworkz Shampoo. Just got done trying them both. :)

Boy, the Sonax is the worst smelling product I've ever smelled so far. It smells like 100 cats marked their territory in the cleaner mixed with rotten eggs, maybe some rotten meat. In short, it smells horrible. However, the cleaning results were nice. I even paired it up with the AMMO Brute wheel soap and got some clean results. It seems to work very similar to Iron X, AMMO Plum, and Adam's DWC, all which I've used. Every product except the Sonax smell very similar. I prefer the scent of the others, as well. Other than that, FE works pretty well and it's the best value in the 5 liter size, cheaper than all the rest for the amount you get, nearly 170 ounces.

Next is the CG Glossworkz Shampoo. I've been noticing lately how Maxi Suds II seems to rinse off a little difficult from the paint, sometimes causing the water to stick. Glozzworkz is rated at as a high foaming soap (or was it super?), and it did foam very well in my foam gun and likewise in the wash bucket. So much foam and lather. I think I get mildly turned on when my car is being bathed by a super foamy and lathery wash mitt. I bought the 16 oz size just to test it first because the gallon is around $45! That is really high for a car shampoo, but I'm kinda starting to see why, lol. It worked out really great for me. After the paint was washed, the remaining soap from the foam gun and wash process was easily rinsed away and the water actually beaded on the paint and ran off quickly, unlike when washed with Maxi Suds II, so I'm thinking a gallon of Glossworkz may be coming soon, but I'll finish my 16 oz bottle first to make sure I really like it.

Overall, I'm happy with both products. Gives me something new to look forward to. :)

thanks for the review. was wondering about the glossworks shampoo.

Glossworkz is the second CG shampoo I've used and just from one wash, I can tell it's better than Maxi Suds II. MSII foams really well and is a great maintenance wash, but it doesn't rinse off as clean as Glossworkz. I have a feeling I'll be in love with this soap after another wash or two. Can't wait to use it again actually.

Glossworkz does it's job and I love the gloss it leaves behind. Pick up the gallon during a sale otherwise it does have a steep price

I love Glossworks shampoo. One of my fav smelling shampoos to date, too!

Yeah, I wound up getting a gallon of it on order. I'm not very patient. It'll be here around the first of October, so I'll still have time to play with what I've got. I have a good feeling I'll be happy with Glossworkz.

Sonax. Ugh. It really makes you wonder what someone was thinking when they made it. You would think there would be a way to make it smell ANY better than it does. It does work though...

Whoa...that's a serious smell.

Thanks for the reviews. Always nice to read about products I myself might never try.

Yes, it certainly does work. My dad tried it on 3 out of 4 wheels on his truck. He said the 4th wheel wasn't as bright or clean as the others. It just has a terrible smell. It's plain awful.

I'm tellin' you, once you smell it...

Not sure if it's just me, but within one wash, I noticed how much easier Glossworkz rinsed off the paint. If I can get away with it, what I'll do is foam the paint, let it dwell while I fix up my buckets, and I'll just leave the foam on the paint while I wash the car, then I'll rinse everything down. Glossworkz rinsed off so clean and actually allowed water to bead on the paint. Every time I've used Maxi Suds II, the water would just stick to the paint more or less. MSII is a nice soap, but comparing it to GW after just one wash, I like GW much better. Gonna try it again soon and see if I get the same results.

I will be trying some soon.

But right now I am a Honeydew fan.
