Since my 3 sisters and I went to college. Our Chocolate lab has been quite lonely at home during the day. We always tried to convince our parents to get another dog...but they were always reluctant to get another dog. You always worry about whether they get along...etc.

Meet Lucy. She is just alittle over a year old and is a Yellow Lab mixed with something else that we really don't quite know of yet. She was rescued by 2 women who kept her for awhile, then the home owner required them to get rid of her, because of a 1 pet rule. Our parents randomly saw that they needed to give her away...and took the initiative to take her into our home

She is fantastic with our 4 year old Chocolate Lab. It's surprising after 2 weeks they are perfectly normal with each other.

Here are the pics of her:

Thats a really generous act of your parents. Dogs are the most loyal pets you'll ever know... Its good to know that they actually love you and not talk bad about you as soon as you turn around like people do. Take good care of em, every pet deserves a loving home!

Some of the best pets/companions in the world are waiting to rescued/adopted. Got my boy, Clyde, just over a year ago and he and unseparable.

Beautiful dog. She looks just like my mom's dog except a little bigger.

Have to love labs they are very loyal and smart dogs.

Kudos to your parents. Lucy is a beautiful, sweet dog. I wish her and your parents the best. Giving a rescue animal a good home is one of the best things you can do in life. All of our cats have been from shelters. I rescued Skippy when he was a little over a year old. He's more like a dog - follows me around, sleeps at my feet at nite, crys when I leave in the AM.

Very cute dogs, I think having two is easier then one, not cheaper but easier!!

They look lazy! LOL

I love labs, great dogs. My mother had 2 of them.

Are puppy threads allowed on AG? These can be dangerous.

I want a companion dog for my black lab very badly, but I can't afford it and do not have the time at this point in my life. Maybe next year.
