New Rupes Swirl Finder Pen Light

I makes more money.

Haha. Well, maybe that's what it is!

I was just wondering if it was maybe brighter, or a color temperature better for swirl finding, or even rechargeable or something. 'Cuz right now it kind of looks like those pen lights my wife got when she managed a medical practice and reps would bring her these pen lights with the drug companies logo on it. They came in various shapes and sizes, all from China, with a nice little logo on the side. But I don't wanna be a cynic and say Rupes just slapped a logo on $.35 pen lights! So that's why I'm curious.

so how much will this potentially cost? lol better question who will be so brave to buy one

Most all the companies show items that will not launch till January or even later. SEMA happens once a year, so you have to show your new stuff whether you want to launch or not. Otherwise you wait a whole year. Meguiars is a good example, they show new stuff at SEMA and it is usually available in January of the next year. SEMA is not a show for retail selling, it's for vendors to get with other vendors in the industry.

Well explained Meghan.

Ha ha....

I don't have any specifics... Marco pulled it out of his pocket, let me test it out and I like it. I want one. Even if I never find out the specifics I like it.

As soon as I can get one I'm getting one.

:)

if you guys sell I'll buy it just cause lol.

Google LED penlight. There are zillions of them.
Now if you just want it because it's Rupes, that's OK too but there are other options if you just want the function.

Assuming this one will be high priced if offered, other high-end tool manufacturers do similar things with accessories, to play to their base. Take a look at this $25 jigsaw blade and $20 screwdriver bit from Festool:
Jigsaw Jigsaw blade HM105/4.5 486560 - Festool Power Tools
Cordless Drill CE Phillips bit 1-100mm 2x 492530 - Festool Power Tools
and yes, people do buy them just because they're Festool.

Ireland all the talk and conjecture about the pen?

I'm on my iPad so don't want to do a lot of typing, suffice to say, Marco is an engineer and an inventor, this swirl finder light pen is built to his design and specification.

He shared his research work with me on the light in a meeting today. It's the real deal.

:)

Very nice with Brinkman not being available right now.

I guess that means Im paying the price I saw on the one that a place who still has them is selling for. I knew I should have gotten one when I saw it somewhere for 34 bucks!
