New spray wax

I'm OC... I would rather wax than use the spray version... simply because... well.... I want to. But I do have those lazy days and I am totally satisfied with Meg's UQW. However, when that runs out, I am going to get the gallon size of D156.

Meguiars D156 Synthetic X-press Spray Wax, basically the bulk version of what you're using.

I`ve been using Megs since it came out and it`s the best. Iwas so glad to hear that Synthic X-press SW was the same, I just ordered it and the best is it about 1/3 the price of USW, how good is that.:props:

Iuse it once a week or sometimes every two weeks and it keep the car looking perfect.

Can DG spray wax stack up with any other wax ? I have blackfire on right now. Never tried DG but they're coming its week.

My favorites are:

Duragloss Aquawax
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant
XMT360 Spray Wax

You wash your car and as your drying it you spray it on. To give it extra protective shine? If so it does sound like a great idea.

I blow dry mine with the leaf blower and use AW to go over the whole car and it gets any spots that wouldn't come off with the leaf blower. It really helps to boost gloss and add slickness to the paint.

Yes, while the car is dripping wet from rinsing I give it a few quick sprays all over and towel dry from there. If your finish and wax are in good shape it gives that extra shine.

BTW, Welcome to AG :Picture:

Makes so much sense. Especially cos I am about to go wash my car lol

It's 9:44 AM in SoCal so that gives me about 1.5 hours of a quick wash lol

When using OCW I make sure the surface is completely dry before applying. As a drying aid I prefer to use Optimum ID&GE. After a wash I'll use my guzzler waffle weave towel to first completely dry all windows and mirrors. Then I lightly go over the body panels and leave about 25% of the water on the car. Spray the car down with ID&GE and then use a plush MF towel to dry the rest of the car and then use another towel for a quick buff.

I currently have and use Meguiars UQW, Optimum Car Wax, Chemical Guys Hybrid V7, and Chemical Guys Speed Wipe Spray Wax and Detailer. Out of these, I like Speed Wipe the best. I think it has the best gloss of the four products, and it has much better durability than V7, on par with Meguiars UQW. Durability of OCW is better yet, though.

For the price IMO D156 is the best synthetic spray wax out there. It's the same product as UQW other than smell and is half the price. If you use it regularly a gallon goes faster than you think. I use it on every exterior part of the car except the windshield. I have been afraid to try it there. I also like Mothers California Gold Spray wax when used on top of their California Gold Synthetic it leaves a very slick finish. I have tried other spray waxes that I like, but never enough to pay the extra cost over D156 or Mothers.

XMT Spray Wax is pretty awesome. OCW, too. There's a lot of good spray waxes, try a few out!

I have gallon of V7 that's sees tons of use!

I second the Lucas Slick Mist. Available at Pep Boys, and does a great job. Suprised this product doesn't get more press. It goes on and off easy, and seems to last pretty well.

I've used Griots Spray On Wax for years......what am I missing since no one else seems to use it?
