NEW! System One!!!

The main thing with System One is time benefits. For a reconditioner that has 3-4 cars to buff a day, System One is a lot faster because your able to use just one polish for all stages. However, for perfectionist detailers who have a day or two to spend on a car can use several polishes and steps to get otpimal results.

AMEN!!!

This is what we all needed to hear.

Thanks budman.

so... enter the rookie detailer...

is this advisable to use with the flex? With what pads? LC Orange/Sonus Yellow + use it to finish on white?

Or shoiuld I use S1 orange then 106ff white?

let me know guys... because I want to order some of this stuff if that's the case.

Yes you can use it with the Flex, you can use System One with any machine... its great how far you can correct with it.
As for the pads I will post up a chart in the next couple of days of what pads for what project when using System One.

It works great with the Flex. Use your favorite cutting and finishing pads.

The Flex is the next best thing to a rotary, as far as correction goes (IMHO).

If you are using a PC would you be better off using the System One over the Menzerna? From my understanding the Menzerna is really made to work with a rotary.

A rotary is the most effective correction tool. However, with increased effectiveness comes additional paint removal and risk.

I don't know that any polish is 'designed' for a particular tool. The tools vary in function, risk and effectiveness. I think all polishes are going to be most effective (and riskiest) with a rotary and least effective (and least risky) when used by hand or with a non-forced rotation RO. In the middle is the forced rotation RO tool, which is why the Flex is getting so much press. It is a good tool and its larger stroke provides more correction than it's competitors while being far less risky than a rotary.

That being said, not every polish is as safe as the next with the same tool. Use compound with a rotary and be careless and you will see metal in a short period of time. SystemOne is on the opposite end...I've watched Tom lean on edges at 3000 RPM and not go through the paint.

I am growing quite tired on all this personal banter ... keep post on track or it will be closed and alot will miss out on the products, support, and techniques that are needed to use the product correctly. Can we remain civil, and provide the knowledge and help to understand this product more effectively ??
Absolutely agreed. Even though you have quoted my post I will assume it was not directed at me but at those that initiate it.

Those are one in the same:righton:
You can not let it go can you? If one refreshes his memory by rereading this thread one can easily see there was no personal banter until your personal comment. Now would you mind, please, contributing something, at least one post, on the actual topic, like mod suggested?

Its Superbowl Sunday, lets play nice kids, this thread is for System One line, if you have something else you would like to talk about, then start another thread.
If you have some knownledge to add about System One then please do so here!

you stared up the fight again fool... we were 4 posts back into the topic :D

hehe.

I'm going to order some of this stuff then, especially if it corrects faster.

I believe this post is directed at everybody on this thread who has said something, regardless of who started what. Personal responsiblity dictates that we are all responsible for what comes out of our mouths (or what our fingers type) and how we react to situations. Unless somebody holds a gun to our heads...

LOL TH0001, that's awesome.

It seems like being a water based product you should achieve the most out of s1 with a rotary, although I have seen many people in the past use a pc with good results using a product intended for rotary usage.

while i am not going to say any pad will not work, I will say that many pads will not work and that we partenered with SystemOne specifically to develop the perfect pad combinations to make the system its most simple, effective and corrective. This chemical works fastest on the rotary and especially with the wool blend we have developed. They also have gone totally with the industrial adapter so if you buy the kit that comes with the adapter most likely you will be using the new Edge3000 Industrial adapter.

I really like the new adapter. as far as the pads it would be nice to see a 6 inch version of that 2 sided wool and foam for some that prefer the smaller size

Keep in mind there is also time savings in using one product and not two because you really do not need to wipe off the residue from the compounding (wool) stage when starting the polishing stage. It's the same product so the residue is just added lube for your polishing stage. So that's some time savings and the other one that I can think of is the fact that you are just flipping you pad over and polish the panel you just compounded right away. You don't have to switch up your setup for the next stage of machining.

I actually just used this for a correction yesterday and I can honestly say I realized a time savings (not sure how much... I didn't really time it closely). But I have to say, it was on black paint and it was absolutely stunning finish! I was shocked!

Man I was reading this thread to find out about System One boy was I disappointed. I do have some experience with System One. I was at a bike show in DC. We were raffling off a bike to raise money for Rolling Thunder. The guys who unloaded the bike put several surface scratches on the bike. All I had was a MF towel. There was a guy selling System 1 near our booth. I went over and talked with him. The were selling small kits for $20. I took a shot, I used the polish by hand with a MF towel. It took 3 or 4 tries but it took the scratches out and then I used the wax. It really saved my butt, the bike looked great. I did parts of the bike that the factory just hadn't polished out well and it improved them a lot too. I have the kit at home now and am waiting for warm weather to try it with the PC on my car, it sure worked on the Harley, but all I had was my hand and a towel. I have always been a Poorboys and Klasse user but I will give this a shot.
