I just had to chance to detail a new Tesla Model S, Performance model, and I couldn't pass that up! Talk about an amazing car. Anyhow, being a black car and been to a few corner car washes, the car had some factory paint imperfections, as well as some micro RIDS.

I didn't document the detail with pics but heres what I used and here are some show shots!

Chemical guys P40 final finish polish
On a 7424, polishing flat pad, ccs finishing pad.

Sealed with smart sealant which I got at the chemical guys showroom, this is my first time using it, no clue how durable it is, but it was easy to work with and added a really nice slick shine.

Just an amazing car in my opinion. And enough hp and torque to make you dizzy!

Those cars are SICK. I've been in one before...never have I been thrown back in my seat like that!!!

Yea motor trend tested this performance model 0-60 at 3.9! It's just instant power. I work for a Porsche dealer and even the new 911s power doesn't make me feel like the tesla did.

Geez thats insane. You beat me to it. Theres 2 of these at work, both with minor swirls. I would of loved to detail one of these bad boys. Great work man it looks incredible.

Seems like a good process. Btw I'm SO jealous!!!! That's my dream car! Go Elon Musk! I wish they didn't cost so much.....sigh. Did you get to drive the car to/from your location or did the customer do all of the driving? :P

They have one showcasing here at the local mall. Looks amazing. Wish I had the chance to sit in one.

Even if I could afford one there is almost a year backlog when you order.

And for me it would be perfect. I never drive more than 175 miles round trip. And when I do go to Vegas Tesla has free supercharger stations along the way (highway 15).

One light scratch from the factory got polished with XMT #2. Trouble areas (Hood, trunk etc.) received p40 via a white polishing pad, increasing the pad took care of the micro imperfections without having to use a more aggressive polish.
The whole car got polished with p40 via a Finishing pad. Then sealed with smart sealant. :xyxthumbs:

Nice job. I like the tesla as well and the technology in it like the center console screen. But besides the hefty price tag apparently they dont make spare parts so if you need something replaced its an arm and a leg for them to make it. and it kinda sucks that it's silent due to no exhaust, I like to hear some power.
