Hi,
I’m new on this forum and new to detailing. Detailing my car has become an obsession for me lately and I’m happy that I found Autogeek. There’s a tremendous amount of information here.

Until about two months ago, the extent of detailing my car involved paying $7 for a touchless car wash every couple months and running my shop-vac through the interior once a month. Maybe once a year I’d clean the inside of my windows. Now I’ve adopted the two bucket system for washing and properly dry after washing, I clayed for my first time last month (amazing) and applied some P21S carnuba wax (also amazing). I also have an extensive collection of microfiber towels. My wife thinks I’m crazy. She’s probably right.

I live in New Hampshire and unfortunately I have to think about winterizing soon. I’d like to polish and apply a longer lasting sealant. I haven’t polished or used a sealant yet. Based on positive reviews and ease of use, I’ll be using:

Klasse All-in-one polish
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealeant 3.0

My questions:

1) Is this a suitable polish and sealant combiniation?

2) Can I put a coat of P21S on top of the WDGS 3.0 immediately after or do I have to wait for it to cure for 12 hours first?

3) I know Wolfgang sealant can't be exposed to moisture for 12 hours but how concerned do I have to be about temperature? I'll likely wait for a warmer day (50's) to apply but it could certainly get into the 40's during curing time.

4) I do have some fine scratches in my clear coat on the passenger side. The scratches run the length of the car. I believe someone rubbed up against it or something while it was dirty, not sure. The scratches almost disappear when I apply wax but eventually come back. What’s the best product to use to remove these fine, clear coat scratches permanently? Would I do this before or after applying the Klasse?

I have a 2014 Subaru Outback. I’ll be doing everything by hand…for now anyway.

Thanks for all your help and responses.

1. The all in one contains both a polish and a wax. You may want to pick up their finishing glaze which has microfine abrasives that can eliminate swirls, and bring out maximum gloss in your finish. You would then follow that with the sealant.

2. You'll want to wait the 12 hours.

3. In my experience, the longer the better when the temperature drops.

4. The Wolfgang Finishing Glaze may reduce, if not eliminate them. The total swirl remover would be a better choice for that task.

Like dlc95, I would also recommend swapping the Klasse AIO Polish with Wolfgang Finishing Glaze.

Wash > Clay > WG Finishing Glaze > WG DGPS

Depending on the scratches WG Finishing Glaze will take care of it.

Hey I have the same questions as jonas but I have a brand new SUV that I want to apply a paint sealant for the upcoming winter months. Should I Wash>WG Perfekt Finishing Glaze>WG DGPS> and Finish w/a coat of Carnauba Wax.

What is the best way to apply the Wolfgang finishing glaze??
Machine? If the best is with machine is it applied using section passes? Thanks

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Polish with the finishing glaze
4. Apply sealant.

Machine will yield the maximum reaults, but it can be used by hand.
