New to detailing

Thanks "Mike the Detailing Guy"
I will check local autostore(autozone, pepboys, and oreilly) tomorrow

Locate and purchase a Brinkman Dual Xenon Flashlight also known as a Cruel Master.

For $30.00 this light will highlight and reveal the swirls in the paint and let you know if you're efforts are getting you closer to the goal or further away.

So while lighting is very important, sometimes you just have to use what you have and as Larry the Cable Guy would say...

Get her done!

:)

If you ask someone to hand deliver me the copy of the DVD...Please sign it before you give to me. :awesome: I will let you know my address later. ha haIm the MAN

Once again, I really do appreciate your help. I am glad you can answer all my questions. Once I finish my car (hopefully can get great result) I will let know you and post some pictures. even buy you a gift...

:thankyousign: Mike

I also tried to work for Jay Leno and buff out all his cars and that never went anywhere either, I had two people that know him hand deliver him copies of the DVD How To Get Show Car Results using a PC , not that it's the best DVD ever made or on the market but again, never heard from him.

I really haven't seen a reason for the 4in pads. The 6.5 are not as effective when you are removing heavy swirls and scratches. The smaller pads allow you to better correct those tough spots. If you use the 4in pads I think you'll need a smaller backing plate. I use 5.5 in pads for better correction with original backing plate:props:

i've experienced the same. 1st i thought i might have incorrect technique but the smaller pads seem to do a better job at scratch removal. i might try the 4" LC wool pad after sanding.
