New To Detailing

Hi Mike, ever since i got my new SUV i wanted to detail it and by reading on the internet i found out that you are one of the best detailer out here for new people like me.

Since I am in India all these products are not avalible to me very easily, recently i visited Toronto and bought some equipment and polishes(Griot's garage 6" polisher, Meguiars Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish, Nxt 2.0, Ultimate quick wax and the Smooth surface clay kit, Lake country ccs yellow, white, black pads).

Now i am taking a leap of faith after seeing your videos and write ups and will detail my black SUV this or the next weekend. If you could tell me if these products are enough for the detailing then i would carry out the procedure of Wash, clay, compound, polish and wax. i can also upload photos of the condition of my car.

Agreed, take your time, read the guides and then reread them. Keep everything nice and clean and try to remember to relax, it is much easier when you are breathing and the body is not tense.

thanks, the most thing that was worrying me was the yellow pad since it is most aggrasive and i have seen in all the videos orange pad is used. At the time of purchase i did not know that and since i am not in the country so i can't change it for an orange one.

You have everything you need to do a stellar job!

1. Wash
2. Clay if needed
3. Compound
4. Polish
5. Wax

Do the above in that order then use the spray wax to maintain.

After washing, do a Test Spot

I think those products are just fine. As someone else mentioned on this forum, it isn't so much the products but the procedure and process that you're using.
