I have an audi a4 and am a newbie as well. After a lot of reading I went with the Menzerna line (FG400 with cyan cutting pad) over the meguiars and had great results. I recently ordered SF4000 but have not tried it yet. I did not find Ultimate Compound worked for me on my test spot.

First off Welcome to the forum!

Now on to the good stuff. For a packing plate with the pads you have picked get the LC 5" Backing plate:
lake country 5 inch backing plate, 5 inch backin plate, 5 inch hook and loop backing plate

Good choice on the wax!

What was your reason for you pick M09 Swirl removal? I don't think you will need that as its a more of a finishing polish and you already have M205. They have different abrasive technologies M09 DAT and M205 SMAT.

Any clay will be fine just make sure you get a clay lube to use with it.

If you want a glaze what will add some depth to you paint the something like Poorboys Blackhole, Chemical Guys Glossworks, and or Blacklight to name a few of the glazes.

P21s Polishing soap is great.

Have you thought about any paint sealants as well?

For the serious imperfections on the other car you may want to get a compound like M105. Although its tricky to work with it can be done. Im not sure what your budget is like but maybe the Megs DA Microfiber correction system would be something you would want to look at instead of going with the foam pads but thats solely on you.

Im not sure how hard or soft Audi paint is so maybe someone can help you out with that.

Welcome to the forum.

I have an S4 as my weekend driver. On most of the audis the clear is notoriously hard. You don't need to wetsand to remove the swirls. Some of the bigger scratches you might need to, but do a lot of research before you start sanding away on a scratch that may be too deep to fix.
The Menzerna fg400 works wonders on the audi clear. You could finish up with the m205.
The Pinnacle wax will look great as your Lsp.

Welcome to the forum. I have a new black Cayenne but it should be very similar to the Audi Q7 since they're both part of VW Group. Unless you have badly neglected paint, I can't imagine you needing much more than Menzerna SF4500 and a finishing pad or at most a light polishing pad. It's super fine and it'll give you an ultra deep and shiny gloss if you burnish correctly. I have no experience with Meguiars M205 but from my understanding they are very similar finishing polishes. If it is neglected then SF4000 should be more than enough. My initial thought would be FG400 would start off way too aggressive for a fairly new and well maintained vehicle.

For sealants, my favorite is Menzerna Power Lock and a close second is Blackfire Wet Diamond. I currently use a Menzerna Power Lock and Pinnacle Souveran combo and it looks great! Keep in mind though the polishing and Menzerna Power Lock alone will give you a phenomenal looking vehicle. The Pinnacle Souveran will give you that last 5% of "fine tuning". Most people won't even notice the difference with or without it. So what i'm trying to say is if you can appreciate an immaculate ride, then go for it. But if it's just a daily driven vehicle and you just want it clean then don't bother. Souveran only lasts a couple weeks at most.

I have no experience with Harbor Freight anything but from my understanding they're cheaply made. I would rather go with a Flex or Rupes not only because of its power but because its much more pleasant to work with over an extended period or time and it'll correct much faster. I tried a Griots and i couldn't feel my hands after three panels. You have an Audi, not a Daewoo. Buy quality.
