In the recent events I have been going through, I picked up a truck

1991 GMC Sonoma- 90,xxx miles- ONE owner-
Almost $3000 with TTL.... $1000 down, $175 a month:cool:
Has receipts for ALL services done to it. From day 1!! Down to receipts for fuses and light bulbs.....
White
2.8 motor/5 speed
Extended Cab-
Chrome rims-
Soft Bed Cover- Sprayed on bed liner
No dents/scratches...

blah blah blah
here are the pics.....yes, it is dirty from the rain, and yes, the chrome rims are dirty, but clean up like new.....

With this truck, I will be saving over $400 a month
It's a step down, but a step in the right direction....

Wow, it's in great shape!! I can't belive the previous owner was that detailed on the maintance. My husband makes fun of me for my strick maintance schedules, but saving the reciepts for fuses, thats detail!

Looks good to me!!

Who cares about the step down... the peice of mind in knowing that you've made a decision that is more appropriate for your current financial position is priceless..

Plus, I'd imagine you'll get a better nights sleep knowing 100% that it'll be there when you wake up in the morning!''

Congrats!

I agree, who cars about the step down. We want to see a detail on it ASAP.

Hey that's better then my old beater...nothing wrong with it TexasTB, looks like a good to me.

Yea, can't wait to see the detail....it's going to look like new :righton: remember lots of pictures...please :D

<edit> I for got to say, sometimes you need to take a step backwards to take two steps forward.

Those trucks make great sleepers. Drop a Cheby 350 with a built rearend with the right gearing and rim/tire combo you can SAVE gas when pulling your trailer.

Looks newer than that, by far. Babied - that is great!!! Once you detail it, we want to see, and undoubtedly it will look even newer,
Lucky find!

Good find, Chris! That truck looks in great shape, and the previous owner had all the maintenance receipts too....awesome!
Glad you came to a decision about the TB. Gives you a little peace of mind. I know what it's like to be hounded by creditors. Had a car repo'd before too. All the best to you Chris!!
And pics of your newly detailed truck!!

Hey that truck looks great! I would NOT be disappointed with that at all, especially with a $400 savings :D. Can't wait to see a detail on that baby. I think you made a great decision on switching vehicles.

Man who cares if it's a step down, it sounds like that is what you need right now. Think of what you can do with that $400 a month and that is a super clean truck for the age.

Great truck. I have a 2.8 in my 1988 and it has 190,000 miles. That should give you years of use. When I see fancy trucks for mobile detailing I only think how many hours a month extra do I need to work to pay for that. I don't look at it as a step down. You can save the money for a rainy day. Everyone in the mobile business gets the rainy days.

use a little P21S Polishing Soap on those wheels, and they will look hot !!

What I been told S-10 are very good trucks. I have a friend that had a 93 with 200k and traded on a new GMC Canyon. Congrats on your new truck...
Hey Chris if you have Poorboy’s Spray and Rinse Wheel Cleaner try it. Just wondering how it would do on them rims?

I cleaned one up already with Megs wheel brightener. Looks brand new.
I will have to find the receipt to see when they were put on the truck

Good luck with the new truck Chris.
Hope everything sorts itself out ok for you.
