Let me start off by saying, I've been educating myself on different sites for a few months and this friendly & positive atmosphere y'all have going on here is something I want to be part of! My background; I'm a 3rd gen electrician by trade. Tried starting a mobile detail biz years ago. Didn't take off like I had hoped. Lost most of my detailing stuff in an ugly divorce (except my 2 PC7336's hehe)! Wanting to get back into it, not too sure if I can handle mobile?

Welcome to the Family. If its in your heart go for it and let everyone see that passion you have.

Welcome to the site.

Detailing businesses typically don't just take off unless you have a very large advertising budget and appeal to what the the majority of consumers "know about detailing" which is basically nothing. Very high quality detailing like you'll see on a lot of detailing forums is a real niche service that sells only to a small percentage of the general public.

The folks who buy high quality detailing either know what's involved in it, have been beat down by hack detailers, are referred by a friend who had their car done or just happens across a high quality detailer and agrees to the high price that should accompany a high quality job.

It's a tough sell and out of a large amount of people approached, only one or two will be interested in paying for quality.

P.S. I was an electrician by trade for about 9 years.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks! I've done 2 w&w's the recently & had numerous requests for more of my services from their coworkers. I'm learning I'm not as young & quick as I used to be lol. What's the best/fastest way to wash & dry? How long should this take? Don't even ask me, I'm too embarrassed to say! Haha
