What's up everyone? i guess this can be my introduction to the forum... i have been a car enthusiast for several years now... ive only owned 3 cars thus far in my life (im 23) and ive loved every single one of them... i am just recently getting into serious detailing... just bought a PC 7424 and a glass restoration kit (ill explain the kit later)... and im excited to really get my car where i want it... first off, my very first car... 1994 Mazda MX-6 4 cylinder 5 spd... great first car... handled really well... and was just a lot of fun to drive... this is what got me hooked on rare stuff because the mx-6... you just dont see every day... not done up at all, at least....

basically all i did to that car was the wheels... and kept it clean...bought it when i was 18 ... then i stepped up my game a little bit when i was 20... with this...

a 1996 Mazda MX-6 LS (6 cylinder 5 spd) ... modded to all hell... cams, heads, headers, clutch, light flywheel, etc etc ... basically anything i could get my hands on and bolt on... that car was my freaking baby..it was an extremely rare factory paint color... kauai blue metallic..clearest headlights around... for 2 years... it all ended in april of 06 with this..

cold spring morning... lady in front of me stops short.. i slam on the brakes.. and they locked and i slid 39 ft.. the car was totalled... and parted out... i was carless for about 4-5 months... driving around in my grandmothers toyota avalon (pimptastic) and then i got my current ride...

2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi - crystal gray metallic... lightly modded ... its daily driven... bought it in july of 06 with 7000 miles on it.... it now has 25600 or so on it... im racking up the miles and racking up the filth... i clean the car as often as i get the chance... but its still next to impossible to keep the way i want it... the drivers side fender currently has a primer spot from and incident i had... and the front bumper has some curb rash on it... but other than that the car looks pretty damn good IMO...

heres a few more pix of it

now as far as the plan for the car goes ... im debating to get the whole car repainted in the same color as the blue mx6 was... or to just repaint the sections that need it in the stock color... the whole car as water spots in the paint (appear to be etched) and on the glass... hence the glass kit... the previous owner lived right near a nuclear power plant so i chalk it all up to acid rain and neglect... i park my car outside all the time... and drive it every day so its not perfect... but post up thoughts and questions and comments and let me know what you guys think.

Sweet ride!! the color should be a little easier to maintain..

THAT was a cool pic

Nice and clean, sweet ride

I like the JDM fogs and V-Limited...
One of the cleaner Subys on Nasioc as well.

thanx alot guys... ill definitely be posting more pictures/details when i start really getting into things... im a stickler for getting up really close and not seeing anything... sometimes that requires going above and beyond to get the results you want but its well worth it in the end...

fastgsx... you have BBS rgr's right? or some other bbs wheel? i think ive see your car on nasioc a while back... thank you for the compiment... nasioc is a wealth of bandwagon jumpers... im trying to stay away from alot of the trends on there .. ie black wheels with a red stripe, angled exhaust, slammed cars, cleared out headlights... etc... im just doing my own thing...

Hey man that's a mean lip! What wax/sealant do you have on her in those pics?

Sweet ride!! And Welcome! Love the 1st pic of the Suby........she's gleaming!!
Whaddaya know! 600 posts!! LOL

haha to be honest... most of those pictures are with just a wash... but right now all the car has on it is zymol cleaner wax... nothing crazy...

I've never been a Subaru fan but your car looks good. I hope you have better luck with it.

Can we say aggressive driver?:D

Very nice car...I like the pictures too.

the zymol cleaner wax is nice.... very easy to work with... thanx for the compliments.

haha and yes i am pretty aggressive... ill own up to that....

To answer your question/give my opinion--I would recommend repainting the damaged areas in the original colors. You will trash it with a repaint. And when you go to sell it, everyone will think it was wrecked.

Yeah, I would repaint the panels that need repaired the stock color. It will be a little to costly to paint the whole car, jambs and all, a new color.

Nice car BTW.:awesome:
