New to the Art...

Will 8oz of each Wolfgang product (uber compound, finishing glaze, sealant 3.0) be enough product to complete my Silverado Crew cab?

16 Uber
16 Finishing Glaze
8 DGPS

Edit - safer to have extra than run out...

Yikes, if you can't do a whole Silverado and have plenty left over with 8oz of product, you're using way too much.

Silverado is a pretty big truck, I wouldn't wanna run out...besides he has other vehicles and take advantage of the 20% off @ Wolfgang :dblthumb2:

Well...
I called AutoGeek today, was ready to spend money... told the rep what my situation was... First word out of his mouth was "buy a DA"... turned me off... Went to another site, spent $200+ for 3M SYSTEM, 3M Pads, 3M back plate...

Sorry guys... but the "body shop" method is what I am going with, rather than the detail crowd...

I tried to spend my money here... but I was unable to be SOLD...

At least AG were being honest and giving you advice based on what would be best for you... not their bank account.

Some of us choose to use a spoon, not a fork... AG also sells 3M products...

I only want unbiased advise... for sure when I'm purchasing...

I have done gone elsewhere...

I looked up the 3M products you mentioned in your first post, you'll do fine with them. The Ultrafine Machine Polish was all the rage on forums like this one when it came out (it was called Ultrafina then), but kind of fell into disfavor because it had a lot of oils and did a lot of filling, but that should be ok for you.

I hope you didn't go with 8" pads for your rotary, you'll need to be really careful if you did, what with the surface speed those will achieve at the outer edge.

For what it's worth, the members here have no financial dog in the hunt, the advice given didn't benefit anyone here. I think you got some advise above, but I'll repeat it, you'll want soft pads of a small diameter for safest rotary use. Keep the machine moving to avoid dwelling and overheating (the paint).

Good luck, let us know how things come out, don't hesitate to come back if you have any questions.
