Hi All!

First off, I just stumbled across this site a few days back and have been amazed by the depth and knowledge of car care fanatics on this site!

I am not new to the care detailing scene, but in the past have always done things by hand. By time to spend full days detailing a care have become shorter and shorter I have been looking into purchasing a PC 7424. From the reviews and statements mentioned on this site it doesn't look as I can get into too much trouble with it. ;) But as I am not familiar with a lot of the other product lines here I thought I would post what is currently in my shopping cart to see if I have the right idea:

PC 7424 - Intro Pad Kit
Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay
Klasse AIO - Put on with PC
Wolfgang Deep Gloos Paint Sealant - Put on with PC
Pinnacle Soveran Paste Wax - Put on by hand

From what I can tell this should be a good start with product to shine up my VW, but I am looking for suggestions or comments on what I have listed.

Thanks,

-Jason

I don't use a machine for Klasse AIO or Wolfgang DGPS, I prefer to hand apply these. (The Wolfgang is SO easy on and off there's really no reason to use a machine).

Consider getting some true polishes (Poorboys SSRs, XMT, Menzerna, etc.) to put your PC to it's fullest use.

:iagree: the PC is for polishing, minor correcting. Gonna need some polishes. You can certainly use your PC for applying waxes or sealants, but it's usually easier and more thorough if you do it by hand.

Guys,

Thank you for the responses. So to clarify would the proper steps be (simplified):

Wash
Clay Bar
Polish (XMT, etc,)
Klasse AIO
Wolfgang Deep Gloos Paint Sealant
Pinnacle Soveran Paste Wax

Just want to be sure of the products to purchase...

TIA,

-Jason

Yep, that's the right order.

I'd add "take 'before' pictures" to the top of the list and "take 'after' pics and post to AGO" to the end. :D

makdaddy626,

Thanks for the replies.

Any recommendations other then the products I have selected? The car is grey in color and the paint is in very good condidtion as the car is always garaged and rarely sees the elements. Just want to keep my options open??

I've used all the products you have listed and will say that they're all very good. You'll probably find, like the rest of us, that you'll want to try different things after you use these. There aren't really any "bests" out there, it's all a matter of personal taste. That said, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all with what you have selected.

Some other products (not to replace the ones you have) that I highly recommend include:

Surf City Beyond Black Tire Pro - this stuff goes on witl almost no effort and leaves the tires looking (and feeling) clean and black.
Plexus (or Plexall) - really makes headlights and tail lights shine.
303 - great for all plastic and vinyl inside and out.
Amazing Roll Off - great on tires, wheel wells, engines, etc. etc. etc.

Oh, and don't forget to get plenty of mf towels!
