Hey guys,
New guy here from Jacksonville FL. Looking forward to learning from you guys. I have always been into self detailing and just recently found this site. Can't believe I went so long without it. Lot of products and tips I never knew of. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Look forward to meeting some new friends.

Black 03 Nissan Maxima GLE. The one in my avatar. I have always loved detailing my own cars. Never knew there was this much info out there. I am addicted to the board now lol. Feel like I am starting all over. Just been using the Synthetic Ice line up. Looks like there is a whole new world of products out there. Just need to find the best for me. And "do not make honor to my screen name?" sorry bro, don't understand lol I know I am a little slow at times :)

Haha...you will soon find that OTC stuff isn't all that good. I thought I was amazing using Turtle Wax Platinum...little did I know there was a whole world out there.
 
Welcome to the fold. Soon you will be well on your way . There are many knowledgeable folks here that can help you with your questions.Read all that you can .
 
Where do I need to go to find a detailed step by step detail guide including some of the best products to use in those steps? Best type of wash, best type of wax for black paint etc. My head is kind of spinning with all this info. Looking into Souveran wax for that deep wet look. But not sure what else. Sorry to turn this into a question thread lol I am gonna use my 'newbie' status. Soon hope to be a pro at this ;)
 
What I meant was not to keep a "low profile" on the forum, like keep posting all the time possible. Nothing bad meant :)
 
Ha! got you bro. Like I said I am a little slow. Actually just the opposite. When you get me on a topic a am passionate about you won't be able to shut me up :) Actually new to this forum but not other forums. Hell, I moderate one (bodybuilding forum). Just use the name as it describes me in the outside world. Always been the one you don't see coming. deffinately not shy with the wealth of knowledge and info available here. I want to be driving the sickest 03 Maxima in town and you guys are gonna help me :) haha, but seriously, thanks for the warm welcome and I am pleased to have found such a group. Like I said, I got some catching up to do....If I can turn heads with the OTC washs and waxes I can't wait to see what I can do with top of the line products and professional advice in the prepping. Been here 2 days and already met a Jax guy to exchange knowledge with. Like I said, new to this forum and this level of knowledge and products, but not new to discussion forums as I actually moderate one. Look forward to making a lot of new friends.
