New toy for my garage/shop :)

Chad, you're going to love it!
I have a buddy with a tire shop. Over the years I've done paint jobs, full cut 'n buffs and details off a similar rack. Even for interiors it's great, as you can bring carpets and seat bottoms up to a comfortable working height. You'll have a bit of adjustment period at first, altering your normal routine so that you're not raising and lowering it all day long, but once you get your process dialed in you'll be far more efficient than you've ever been.
Enjoy!

Bill

Thanks Bill! I had heard about the interior from another detailer that has one too. ;)

All better now! :dblthumb2:

Still have some things to do with the boards and fabricating ramps, but it works for now.

I might have to put this on my wish list instead of the two post I was looking at. I look forward to hearing how this works out for you Rasky.

Even though I have a four post lift I want to get one of those.

It will go high enough for me to be able to pull differentials, transmissions, and even entire engine/transmission combos out the bottom. Which is how I prefer to do it on modern cars.

That is killer Chad....Got my eye on on too, this will change detailing for you and make it allot easier.......I gots to get me one !!

Very nice. Let's see it in action.

I haven't taken video of it in action yet but I did do my first car on it last weekend....man what a difference that made! I actually went home with no back pain for once and I'm pretty sure it cut down on polishing time too! :xyxthumbs:

It is a little cumbersome dealing with the 2" x 12" boards, so they will be getting semi-fixed to the floor, but they will still move to adjust for different widths. I need to fabricate brackets for that, drill some holes in the floor, and get some ramps made. I'm a little short on free time right now so it may be a few weeks before that gets done. The way I have it now works, it just requires a few extra minutes to get the car all lined up. I'm going to place a mirror on the back wall to help with guiding car in too. A TV monitor with camera would probably be ideal, but that's more than I'd like to spend right now. ;)

Pics of the car I did last weekend.
