New toy! New toy!

Thanks everyone. I LOVE the white on this car. Sporty, yet classy. Perfect combination of both IMHO.

The car does have the 2.0T TSI which is 210hp and 207lb/ft. The numbers aren't huge, but the car is pretty quick. So far, I'm in on a group buy for a Uni Brace which is an underbody brace to help stiffen up the chassis. An intake at some point and Stage 1 APR tune is also on the list.

The wheels are gorgeous, VW nailed it with these.

And correct, R32 was a 35-40k car and they're as quick as a scalded dog.

I might hold off on a coating and just polish and top with 2 coats of DGPS. I have a bad habit of using stuff once or twice before I buy something else to try, and the car is sitting outside with nothing but a spray wax on it. I want to get it done while the paint is still smooth as glass.

More pics when I get it done!

sounds like solid plans, isn't the unibrace behind the backseat? unless they made one for under the car

also am I aloud to post another forum here? its non detailing related it's more just Jetta related

They have 3 different ones. I'm getting the UB and RB, but might not get the RB. This is a DD, it won't live on the track. Reducing chassis twist is one thing, throwing away money is another. I'm starting to thing the UB would be plentiful.

Congrats on the new ride!
Thanks Chris!

My brother bought his in 06 for 38. At that time I had a 380whp RSX type S. He would blow me away from a dig until I caught him. I would get him from a roll. However once he did twin K06 turbos, I hated him forever. Idiot sold it and got a Toyota Tacoma back in 2011

How does he sleep at night!? I bet both cars were amazing. I'd love to ride in a R32 again. Drove one at the dealer after I bought my Passat and I wanted to trade cars afterwards. My only complaint about the GTI is that the body is so small. Surprisingly though, very roomy on the inside.
