New toy!

As soon as its done I will post them. Just got off the phone with them. Original bars I ordered are out of stock till April 10. Picked out a different set. Another week wait! Killing me!

Yes, while the wait is difficult it is worth it to get it the way you want it though.

Finally picked it up last saturday! Took on a 85 mile ride after pick up. Runs incredible! Spent 6 hours on the paint after the ride. HD cut, HD polish, Reflect. S100 on the black parts of the engine. Next is the chrome and motor fins.

Had the dealer install 14 in Yaffe bars with LA Choppers cable kit. Firebrand mufflers.

Ordering a 12 in Windvest windshield today.

Shweet!!! Love it! Chrome sounds fun...motor fins? Not so much...

Enjoy brother, enjoy.

Thanks man. Doing some reading up on polishing the fins. Sandpaper, scotchbrite pad, dremel, are things people have used to polish them. I'm going to try the scotchbrite pad first. I'm really hoping that does the trick. Either way it's going to take a long long time.
HD polished finished real nice with a white flat pad. The Reflect took it to a totally different level though. I forgot to add earlier, LSP is 2 coats of Fuzion.
Bike night tonight at a local establishment!

Congrats eaglefan, she looks great!

I too, recently picked up a Harley after many years without a bike and can't wait for the weather to break so that I can start cleaning her up. I have heard that Harleys have "soft paint", so I have to ask, how was working on the paint?

Thanks everyone! I have corrected many of them, and the vivid black seems to be the softest paint I have worked on, cars or harleys. This doesn't mean it IS, just the softest I have worked on. Red, blue, orange are all "normal" in my opinion. Reflect really brought out the deep look to me. I will say that I used the softest MF I have.
Black paint is a total different beast on any vehicle though.
Ravenhawk, Would love to see some pictures of your Harley!
