Finally got another truck, 2008 chevy 3500 duramax, white. I recently purchased some poli-seal and some colinite 845 for it. It has 68k miles, so paint isn't too bad. Just the typical swirls.

I am a Megs 105/205 and Menzerna SIP/IP guy.

From what i have read, I think poli-seal with a orange pad will suffice using a pc 7424. What about the colinite 845? That stuff is so thick. Is it better to apply by pc or hand (mf pad)?

The truck is just a tow truck for the race cars, so not worried about getting the classic summit white pain to pop. Mainly just want to do a quick correction and cover her up and make it last.

Not new to detailing at all. But mostly do show cars/muscle cars. Don't do too many daily driven vehicles so the whole durability/long lasting seal is new to me.

One more question...the truck has the 3M rock chip adhesive stuff on the front. Should that receive any special treatment?

Thank you folks.

The link that jcb27 attached goes over the Collinite in amazing detail. That thread should be stickied for anyone considering Collinite.
