With all the ONR blowouts culminating in gallon BOGOs today. What has anyone heard about a new version. Dr. G. will do what he must to lead the rinseless world!

I recently bought a gallon of ONR when there was 20% off. How do I know if I got the newer version?

If there is a "new" ONR coming out then I know the old one will be junk so before everybody just pours it down the drain PM me and I will give you an address to ship it to so it will be disposed of properly.

Just a hunch,I think V3 is on its way Jim Im the MAN

When I saw the BOGO I thought "hmmm....new version coming?" and then I said "nahhhhhhhhhh".

With the newcomers releasing their rinseless washes, all cards are out on the table. Perhaps Dr. G. has had something new waiting for ONR for some time but he just wanted to see the hands of more competitors before showing his. So, old product sets the bar and competitors meet or exceed that bar. Now Dr. G. knows how good a new ONR need be to be the best.

Several possible reasons for the new exposure

1. There is a formula change coming because many of the competing products have been revising formulas/packaging and new competitors (Black Fire, Durgaloss) and Optimum wants to stay competitive

2. No formula change but Optimum is promoting it through pricing deals because of the reasons in reason 1.

Dear Jim, Al, & Friends

I've been trying to learn about detailing since last October, and though I have an unopened gallon and an 8-oz. bottle of ONR, I have yet to do a rinseless wash.

I've been using a foamer with my new pressure washer and waterless washes in between big washes.

I reckon I'd better get busy.

Gee, I wish some of y'all lived around Atlanta. We could have some detailing parties.

Ahhh. Brilliant thought (#2)... although I'm leaning 70% on #1 and 30% on #2.

I'm not sure how conclusive this is--I was looking at another store and they weren't BOGO'ing ONR, they were having an across the board Optimum sale. Another had no Optimum sales, and the fourth was selling buy 3 qts ONR, get one free...for $48...which is way over the list price for a gallon of ONR.

On a side note--how good is BOGO gallons of anything for most of us? A gallon of anything is going to last me a long time; 2 gallons--forget it. Look how many of you still have V1 ONR which they haven't made for what, 2 or 3 years? Did you get it on BOGO?

Yep, and enjoy pure unleaded gasoline without %ethanol :)

Damn, I still have 1.9 gallons of ONR that i bought off with 20% off. I believe theres gonna be a new formulated ONR. I wish i had sense this before i bought those and waited for the v2 ONR ON BOGO! I'll be thrilled what a v3 can do the v2 cant....

This just made me realize due to technology and competition, it does'nt make sense on stocking up detailing supplies anymore!

That's so true. It took me forever to finish V1 of ONR. V2 has been out for a while and I still haven't tried it. Once I finished ONR I tried UWW and have been using it since.

I wanted a gallon of ONR but I'm not sure if I'd ever finish a second gallon. I guess I could always trade it for other goodies.

I still have 4.5 gallons of ONR. That should last me trough the year and I'll be ready for the new year sales and some of the new version at a discount. :)

That is a very astute observation.

I bought 2 gallons of ONR so I don't run out. I want to try it for clay lube and detail spray, and I think some family and a friend would like to buy one from me. I'm sure it won't be around long enoough to spoil, lol.

The latest rinseless wash formulas seem to combine a rinseless with some form of sealant/wax to form a one-step wash and wax solution. So, I'm guessing that optimum will be following this trend with a new product that combines ONR with OCW.

I actually hope they don't do that, though. I like the versatility of the original formula because you can also use it to make clay lube, instant detailer, or a waterless wash solution. But, I do have to admit that I almost always follow a rinseless wash with a spray wax, so I do see the logic in combining both steps. So, if they do release a rinseless wash and wax formula, I hope they also continue to offer the original formula, too.

They pulled the ONR gallon size from BOGO. I'm seeing ONR go on sale EVERYWHERE!!
