Just joined the AG forum here and saw the message to introduce meself so here goes.

My name is Rob and I'm 30 year old US Air Force vet that has become overwhelmingly addicted to auto detailing.

Before i joined the service i spent a couple years working in a "detail" shop that was lets just say not up to the standards that i've seen on AG. It was a quaint little place in Ohio that shall remain nameless (forum rules ) that was a full service strip club in the front and a detail shop in the back. Now i know what you're thinking. Genius right?? Maybe. but it didn't turn out that way.

Fast forward ten to twelve years and here i am. Right back to the beginning, with a new-found love of this trade and the desire to become truly masterful at it. I have thus far done 4-5 full details with some AG products but mostly store-bought "high tier items" like meguiars ultimate. The results i have been able to achieve with these are pretty good in my estimation.

But pretty good doesn't cut it for me, and thats why i've been drawn to this forum on AG.

Mission Statement: To learn everything i can from everyone here and share that knowledge with others as well.

:)

Welcome ROB, thank you for your service my friend:)

I remember a place in Dayton that had a similar set-up:
I used to just love the smell of stripper chemicals!!

Welcome!

I wish we had a place like that when i was coming up...sounds like fun times!

It was my pleasure and i enjoyed every minute of it. Next time i wash and wax her (in a day or two) i'll post some pics.

She has a long way to go, but i'm collecting the tools and products as i go so it's a WIP.:dblthumb2:

Well Rob, can I suggest Duragloss rinseless wash, DP LSP's as well as Collinite. I like Meg's M101 for polshing when a bit more cut is needed, surely others will chime in on less aggressive options, I have GG polishes for that.
