Hello Autogeek. I just purchased new 22" Sport Muscle Silver Wheels for my detail truck and wanted to know if I should keep them the stock color, or paint them. Here are some pics of my truck(I have posted these here before), and also some pics of the wheels I bought on a different truck so you get the idea of how they look. Let me know what you guys think. Here are my options:

1. Entire Wheel Flat Black
2. Center portion of the Wheel Flat Black, The lip painted to match my truck (Dark Shadow Grey)
3. Center portion of the Wheel Dark Shadow Grey, The lip painted Flat Black
4. Or leave them as is, Silver.

Let me know what you think! Thanks guys!
PS. My truck pics are on the bottom!

I would leave them as-is. Being that your truck is two-tone, and the bottom portion is silver, the wheels being silver give a nice, clean look. Painting them black wouldn't flow as well IMO.

Nevermind, I now see the pictures of YOUR truck, which doesn't have a silver two-tone paint job. I'd still leave them silver. :)

On most vehicles, I prefer black or gunmetal wheels.
However, on yours, I think the silver would look best.

:iagree: Leave them as is. They look perfect.

they look good as is but i like the body matching idea but with a wrinkle if you will..... how about the center dark shadow grey, but, and here's the wrinkle.... with a polished lip.

I would paint then the color of the truck. Are the polished Aluminum with clear coat. I would get the polished lip and clear them then paint the face of the rims dark grey and clear them Or paint the whole rim Polished black with polished aluminum lip.

Leave them. But if you are to change the color "powder coating" will be your best option. Why didn't anyone mention this?

Concur with all the above. To much other chrome on the truck; maybe if you decided to change the bumpers and nerf bars. Definitely powder coat if you decide to go that way; I love the teflon coated look, flat black on trucks. Nice truck though!

Wheels Finally On, Detail Truck Lowered as well

Here are some new pictures of my Work/Detail Truck. Turned out pretty nice I think. I also attached a car show flyer I worked on for my upcoming show this June. I think it came out nice as well. Enjoy!!
