I've been kicking around the idea of getting a Porter Cable 7424xp lately and finally bit the bullet. As a suggestion from an autogeek employee they stated I should buy this kit. He also said I should need nothing else besides this, according to him, for removing swirls.

My question is now that I received it, which product do I use in what order? From what I can gather, the swirl remover is just that, a swirl remover, and the finishing glaze is like a wax product. And you should finish it off with the deep gloss paint sealant.

My questions

1. Is the deep gloss paint sealant a replacement for a wax?
2. The total swirl remover, how long do you wait before you buff that off?
3. Has anyone used these products before and can offer some extra suggestions, or proper steps on using it?

to my understanding, u need to do a test spot first, using the least agressive pad with the swirl remover, then once u get ur system, u can do the rest of the car the same way. u can sub the sealant for a wax, or add wax after the sealant. as far as the buffing off, wait til it dries, which u can rub ur finger across the surface to determine.

Yes but what do you do before that, just a normal wash and clay?

1-Wash
2-Clay (Wash is optional,depending on your technique how to remove the clay lube/QD)
3-work in the TSR until it has broken down, you mat repeat until you achieve your desired results (you don't wait for it to haze like a sealant, you work in the product) - Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0, car polish, polishing compound
4-work in the FG until it has broken down (repeat as necessary) - Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0, Wolfgang finishing polish, polising glaze, machine glaze
5-do an IPA wipedown or apply a cleaner wax or MS or APC (as mike suggested)
