NEW XMT Series By Pinnacle

I have a quick question here. Where does XMT Glaze fit in if I plan to wash, XMT1, DP sealant and top with NBx2? This is a new truck and should only need XMT1. I thought I read that the glaze isn't needed in this mix but I don't want to miss anything. From what I can gather this is the order: wash, XMT1, DP Sealant, wait at least 12 hours, wax.

I would not use the glaze in the equation above, no need. Sealant will not combine well with oils in glaze. I might even suggest a quick wipwdown of alcohol/water between XMT and sealant.

Thanks for your help on this. When do you use the XMT Glaze?

when you would be protecting with a pure carnauaba. Souveran, Sig Series, Nattys, #16, and many others apply.

Question on that. I've heard of this, and also have heard you can use a QD or AIO.
Has anyone heard any truth on using the QD before a sealant? Preferably DG #105, any bonding issues with or without the QD after polishing?

most quick detailers are not strong enough to remove all the oils in the past polishing product. I prefer alcohol/water as it shows (clouds) that it is working and wipes clean with no residue.

You can use anything over AIO ... it is an extremely user friendly paint cleaner with some acrylic paint protection.

I bought these products and I 'm very impressed. I used a rotory since this is what I have always used. They worked pretty good, but I still saw minor marring afterusing them.
I read the directions and used as instructed. Maybe I did not work the product in as long as I should have. Could someone please give me some
pointers on the Pinnacle products and a rotory.

i didnt enjoy using xmt on rotary...i love it for PC but not rotary

My Metabo is coming in tomorrow, and I have the entire XMT line, so I'll give it a whirl.

I do know however that the XMT line was designed for the PC. It still can be used w/ the rotary, but they will break down pretty quick I've heard. Maybe try a little more polish than normal?

I personally am going to use the Optimum line for rotary, long working times.

The XMT medium and ultra fine swirl removers were the first 2 things I ever bought from autogeek what a great way to start out! My entire car was swirled and had several scratches on the hood and wing. The XMT made the paint look new again! One thing- I do not reccomend that you use it in direct sunlight-I tried and it was very hard to remove. In the shade it was very easy to work with and remove. I live in Fl. so maybe because the sun is so brutal here is the reason. Great stuff though!

This is the first time I ever heard of wiping the car down with rubbing alcohol. Do car companies recommend it? Also, what swirl/scratch remover works best with the PC 7424? I saw some videos on youtube of the pinnacle stuff being used and was not impressed. Any suggestions?

I just used the xmt#2 on my moms qx4 that has paint scuffs from the toll road gates (dont ask) and the PC with orange pad and xmt took it right out. Also did a 99 A4 with #2 and the swirls and most scratches exept the deep ones were taken out. This is my purchase from AG also and it works great.

I think I am pretty well decided on the Xmt series, my car is new, so I was thinking the 360, maybe the glaze then the 180 wax, or should I just skip the glaze and just go to the wax? Or would the xmt 1 be a better choice? then finish up with the wax? Will the wax protect the car like a sealant? Or is a sealant better? I have heard very good things about the xmt series, and am going to order a pc and the xmt sounds like it will be the easiest for me to use. Any suggestions? Thanks

XMT 360 is the bomb, use it on my black Monte and then Sourveran. Heads turn when I drive thru town. What a shine.
