My wife and I decided to get out of town for the holiday...my inlaws own a new log cabin up in the Sierras here in CA. Heres a few pics I snapped while I was there.

My daughter, right before our 5 mile hike in the snow.

And of course... some detail shots. My #26 application finally quit after 5 months... so I quick detailed the truck before the trip. ONR.. clayed the hood and front... then added a coat of #21. I must say the #21 darkened the paint quite a bit. Looks good to me. :) These were taken after the 150 mile drive to the cabin.

Good pictures, man. Looks like you had a lot of fun there. I just came back form Tahoe myself, and what really dissapointed me is the was not much snow. It was darn cold, but not as much snow as I hoped for (usually when they make people put chains on is when it's enough snow for me).

Nice pictures man, looks like you guys had fun. Looks a little cold but still looks like a good trip.

Oh yea the moon shot looks really cool. Not to mention the car, nice clean and shiny...who details your car? hahaha teasing.

Beautiful pictures even if it does look cold.
I agree the truck pics are nice..Family pics are great.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I appreciate it.

supercharged... I was also hoping for some kind of rain or snow. It was the main reason I applied the #21 before we left. Although it was absolutely beautifull up there with clear weather.

You made your little daughter hike 5 miles:D

Nice pics!

We were thinking about going up there. Do you have any suggestions where's a nice place to go? None of us are skiers (my wife, my 6 year old and myself), but we were thinking about getting our daughter some lessons. We would be going more to relax and play in the snow. A friend at work suggested Soda Springs.

Thanks everyone!

alban61... I couldnt resist. My inlaws were laughing at me. :D

Our cabin is in a tiny place called Sierra City. There are all kinds of places surrounding that you can rent little cabins and many snow parks or trails to hike. Check out Sierra City, Bassets, and Downeyville. My family doesnt do any skiiing either.. we just go up there to play in the snow and relax, sounds like this is the place for you. Its only 3000-4000ft elevation so there is a chance of snow but nothing that would get you stuck. Check it out and make sure to make it a long weekend or a week vacation.. a couple days is just not enough to enjoy it all.

Thanks for the info! I'lll look into these places. We were going to go up in December, but never really looked seriously for a place to go. Hopefully we'll be able to go this month or February

May I ask - what does ONR stand for? Can't figure that one out!!
